About us:
Latincouver is a non-profit organization that for the past 12 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.

About the position:
Comedy is a great vehicle to engage the public and transmit information. There will be 2-to-5-minute long sketches to learn about COVID-19 disinformation and foster tolerance, the sense of belonging, and cooperation. We are looking for a volunteer available to work 15 hours per week as a commitment for at least 3 months with us.

Duties and Responsibilities:
● Write a series of comedy sketches (short scenes or vignettes)
● Execute multiple writing tasks under requested deadlines
● Collaborate with the production crew
● Other activities as assigned

Requirements and Skills:
● Experience or degree in film writing, scenic arts or relevant field
● Proficiency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a strong asset
● Strong communication skills
● Creative
● Ability to meet deadlines
● Ability to work well with others
