The Fundraising Coordinator leads ARIA's efforts to secure funding for our programs, events, and community initiatives. You'll plan and execute fundraising activities with a focus on building meaningful relationships with donors, while partnering with our Director of Communications to identify opportunities in donations, sponsorships, partnerships, grants, and campaigns. Organization Summary:Vancouver Food Runners is a registered Canadian charity working at the intersection of food waste, food access, and environmental sustainability. Since launching in 2019, we have built one of the largest volunteer-powered food recovery networks in Metro Vancouver.Using our app-based platform, we connect surplus food from local businesses with nonprofit organizations serving communities across the region. Every day, volunteers use the Vancouver Food Runners app to transport fresh surplus food from donors to community partners including food banks, neighbourhood houses, shelters, and community organizations.Our volunteers, known as Food Rescue Heroes, are at the heart of this work. By completing short food rescues across the region, they help ensure good food is shared with communities instead of going to waste.Volunteer Opportunity Summary:Vancouver Food Runners is looking for volunteers to join our growing network of Food Rescue Heroes.Food rescues are simple and flexible.
