The Fundraising Coordinator leads ARIA's efforts to secure funding for our programs, events, and community initiatives. The Canadian Cancer Society (CCS) is recruiting volunteers (ages 19-35) to join our inaugural Next Gen Action Council, a national group of emerging leaders helping shape how Gen Z and Millennials connect with the cancer cause through advocacy, community building, fundraising, storytelling, and digital engagement. This isn't your typical volunteer opportunity. You'll have a seat at the table, collaborate with other driven young professionals and community leaders, and influence initiatives designed for your generation. Organization Summary:Vancouver Food Runners is a registered Canadian charity working at the intersection of food waste, food access, and environmental sustainability. Since launching in 2019, we have built one of the largest volunteer-powered food recovery networks in Metro Vancouver.Using our app-based platform, we connect surplus food from local businesses with nonprofit organizations serving communities across the region. Every day, volunteers use the Vancouver Food Runners app to transport fresh surplus food from donors to community partners including food banks, neighbourhood houses, shelters, and community organizations.Our volunteers, known as Food Rescue Heroes, are at the heart of this work. By completing short food rescues across the region, they help ensure good food is shared with communities instead of going to waste.Volunteer Opportunity Summary:Vancouver Food Runners is looking for volunteers to join our growing network of Food Rescue Heroes.Food rescues are simple and flexible. Using the Vancouver Food Runners app, volunteers can claim a rescue that fits their schedule and transport surplus food from a local business to a nearby nonprofit organization.
