Fridays on Front is Downtown New West’s signature summer event series, bringing together food, music, and community vibes every Friday night. As a volunteer, you’ll be at the heart of the action: helping us bring the event to life and creating a welcoming, safe, and memorable experience for thousands of guests.Volunteer responsibilities include:• Assisting with event setup and takedown (think tents, tables, signage)• Greeting and guiding attendees with top-tier customer service• ID’ing guests who wish to purchase alcohol to ensure compliance with event policies• Collecting quick feedback from attendees through short event surveysOur volunteer shifts run Fridays from 3:00pm to 11:00pm on the following dates:July 10 17, 24 and August 7, 14, 21, Can’t make the full shift? Stream of Dreams is inviting anyone looking for volunteer hours to come assist us in our Fish on Fences programs!Students will have an opportunity to learn all about environmental stewardship and the importance of our fish, specifically pacific salmon, and then have the opportunity to paint their very own "Dream fish" We encourage creativity with students, and we ask our volunteers assistance in making sure everything runs as smoothly as possible. This is a perfect volunteering opportunity for anyone who is looking for a career in child education, and also for anyone with spare time on their hands looking to help make a difference!We will be volunteering at different schools across British Columbia, but primarily focusing on the lower mainland.
