The mission statement of the the Legacy 150 Celebrations (BC) Society is to observe, commemorate, and celebrate Canada’s democracy, harmony, and values which promote, advocate, and support Canadian diversity, multiculturalism, and heritage through educational, cultural, and outreach activities.

• Plan a multicultural festival and a series of regional drumming events that will occur simultaneously across Canada, to form a dynamic national drumming event occurring on July 1st
• Make sure that the events are multicultural and inclusive by inviting participation from all communities
• Showcase the multicultural diversity of Canada through various multicultural performances and engage the public to participate as artists and drummers

I interviewed my dad on video in his final weeks.
