The Cedar Science Camp is an ongoing UBC initiative to promote science education to Aboriginal youth (aged 8-12) within the lower mainland. Cedar is supported by the UBC Faculties of Science and Land and Food Systems at UBC.
We work with children, families, caregivers and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians each year to raise funds to support child health.

YELL Canada is a registered charity that inspires entrepreneurial thinking and invests in young minds, preparing them for a radically different future. We partner with educators and business leaders to deliver real-world programming in high school classrooms, creating powerful problem solvers to build our future economies. YELL builds the connections between youth and local leaders, helping youth see a possible future for themselves at home, while equipping them with the tools and the support network to make it happen.
YELL's programming targets high school students aged 15-18 (grades 10-12). Our flagship program is a year-long accredited entrepreneurship and innovation high school course. It involves a teacher led and mentor supported fully accredited course (students receive school credit), that runs from Sept-June.

ProChoices, an affordable counselling clinic in downtown Vancouver, is a feminist, grassroots non-profit that is committed to providing accessible radical narrative therapy as well as training and certification for university students and working professionals.
Sport BC is the non-profit sport federation, representing over 50Â Provincial Sport Organizations in British Columbia. As a member-based organization, Sport BC offers services and programs to build the capacity of our members and advocate on their behalf to improve the landscape for organized sport in BC.
Langara students have come together to solve problems that they've faced on campus. On April 27th, 28th, and 29th they will join forces with like-minded students, mentors, and industry to create solutions with technology.

George Pearson Centre is a residential, long term care facility for adults with disabilities. Adults of all ages live at George Pearson and require care for many different reasons. Many residents have extensive physical disabilities including persons with acquired brain injury, spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis and other neurological disabilities.
VOLUNTEER ROLES:
We have several different volunteer roles at this location including: 1 to 1 Visiting, Recreation, Community Outings, Cards & Games, Artworks. Volunteers get the opportunity to work 1 on 1 with the residents while assisting staff with the activities and therapeutic programs. It's a great way to help others and gain more experience in a residential setting.

As the largest family fun run in Vancouver, RBC Race for the Kids inspires participants to raise funds for BC Children's Hospital. On Sunday, June 3, RBC Race for the Kids will host runners and walkers of all ages and abilities on a scenic 2 km or 5 km Fun Run, followed by a carnival celebration. It is our goal to raise over $1 million at this year’s run, but we can’t do it without the support of our participants and fundraisers. By collecting donations and taking part in RBC Race for the Kids, you are helping us learn more about childhood cancer and mental health conditions, and doing your part to support BC kids!
Italian Day on The Drive is a vibrant cultural street festival celebrating Italian culture, heritage and community with over 150 street participants, comprised of partners, merchants, vendors and community organizations – and an estimated 300,000+ attendees of all ages and cultures. Commercial Drive (The Drive), home to Little Italy, is the designated location for the annual festival where the street is transformed into a lively 14 block festa. Since Italian Day’s return in 2010, the event today represents the largest one day cultural street festival in Vancouver – and perhaps in Canada. A festive community embrace, The Drive comes alive in green, white and red with piazza style animated zones, live music, food, patios, fashion, retail vendors, vehicles, activities, children’s zones and more.
Car Free Day celebrates the vibrancy of Vancouver’s diverse neighborhoods by organizing a multi-site annual arts and culture festival that reclaims traffic thoroughfares as community focused public spaces. This allows artists, local residents, performers, artisans, non-profits, and businesses to interact, engage, and re-imagine spaces normally reserved for vehicle traffic. We continue to be a green and grassroots effort, directed and organized by the local residents in each Car Free Day neighborhood. This year the 11th Annual West End Car Free Day will take place on June 16, on Denman between Robson St. and Beach Ave.
