Cwenengitel Aboriginal Society is a non-profit organization that provides safe, central, suitable housing for Aboriginal Men. The approach to wellness offered by Cwenengitel is more encompassing than the standard form offered by conventional rehabilitation centers. We focus on healing the whole person and our projects are designed to utilize all aspects of our culture to break the chain of substance abuse, alcoholism, and family violence. We provide counseling services and educational assistance for all our residence with the aim of reintegrating them back into society
We are a crisis centre for women and girls escaping domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of gender-based violence. Help us protect and empower women and girls. We are the only women's Centre in Surrey, BC. We are often the first and sometimes the only place they call for help. It is because of you that women and girls have a safe place to turn. 24 hours per day. 7 days per week. 365 days per year.

The Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society is a not-for-profit society, established in 1989. Our members believe. that individuals with Down syndrome are capable of full participation in society and should be given the opportunity. to develop their potential.
To make this mission come to life, the Lower Mainland Down Syndrome Society aims to:
- Provide information, support, and resources to individuals with Down Syndrome in BC and their families.
- Provide information about Down Syndrome and resources to people and organizations who support. individuals with Down Syndrome and their families
- Advocate that governments and appropriate agencies provide the special resources often needed by individuals with Down Syndrome and their families.
- Lobby for appropriate educational, vocational, and social opportunities

A Ride To Care For Cancer Patients
The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society is a not-for-profit organization providing complimentary transportation for lower mainland residents battling cancer.
When you are in need of transportation to care we are here to support you with safe, timely and efficient service. We are a registered charity and work to raise the funds necessary to meet expenses associated with meeting cancer patient needs.
Our team of volunteer drivers and dispatchers offers peace of mind for patients who may not have the means to drive to and from essential cancer treatments and medical appointments. The physical, emotional and financial burden is lifted knowing our friendly volunteers are only a call away.
This is an initiative started during Covid Pandemic to help teach Punjabi to people of all ages. We have been remotely teaching Punjabi to students all around the world. Our volunteers are fluent in both Punjabi and English. Since Punjabi Schools and Traditional methods of learning Punjabi were challenged during the lockdown, we have created a system that allows you to take full benefit of learning Punjabi and getting your volunteer hours based on your availability and flexibility in your schedule.

Created in 2006 by Carlie Smith and inspired by the famous art and design markets of Europe, Portobello West’s goal is to introduce Vancouver’s style conscious shoppers to the creative pool of artists and designers working here.
Now operating as a not-for-profit society, Portobello West is governed by a Board of Directors and a Marketing, Communications and Events Manager. Portobello West remains Vancouver’s premiere SHOP LOCAL market. Voted by the Georgia Straight readers as one of the Top 3 Artisan/Craft Fairs from 2010-2018, Portobello West features a high quality selection of carefully crafted goods worth gushing over.

For over 12-years, Portobello West has sought and presented top-notch emerging and established local talent. Featuring up to 90-local artists and designers at a time, Portobello West’s seasonal markets offers up a curated selection of locally designed fashion, art, home decor, gourmet treats, wine & spirits, and more. Our hope is to foster a sense of support and community for local creatives living and working here.

Beach Clean Up Organization is a non-profit organization that dedicates to environmental protection. We provide volunteer opportunities for local high school students who are willing to join us and help to clean up White Rock Beach. We will voluntarily clean up all the waste on White Rock Beach.
A registered non-profit organization aiming to create volunteering opportunities within the Lower Mainland and address a variety of issues relevant to the community. Through the organization of several fundraising events, the organization works to do hands-on volunteer work in BC. Participates in and organizes a broad range of volunteering activities, such as food, toy, and clothing drives, blood drives, and fundraisers for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
It is often difficult to get rid of bed bugs in a house since they are small insects. They are reddish brown in color and measure between 0.16 and 0.20 inches long. Human blood is their main source of food, so they are usually found in crowded places. The bites of these insects do not cause health problems, but they can cause economic loss. They can also lead to psychological problems such as sleep disorders, anxiety, or stress. Bedbugs are a common problem in Vancouver. They infest, bite, and create psychological problems for the residents. You can usually find them at train stations or in hotel rooms. The mission of the Hancock Wildlife Foundation is to promote the conservation and appreciation of wildlife and their habitats through science, education, and stewardship.
We aim to accomplish these goals through our programs, including:
- Live streaming cameras to engage the public on wildlife behavior and natural history and incite a sense of inspiration and appreciation
- Scientific research projects to address gaps in our knowledge and understanding of local wildlife species
- Providing a public forum for discourse and exchange of ideas on wildlife and wildlife related issues
- The production and publication of wildlife books and educational materials on ecological and natural history topics
- Providing expertise on human-wildlife conflict and creating viable mitigation options to allow for sustainable co-existence
The Amelia Douglas Institute (ADI) celebrates and uplifts MĂ©tis culture in British Columbia through educational exhibitions, programs, and research. The Institute connects MĂ©tis people throughout the province with their culture, heritage, and Michif languages through virtual and in-person resources and initiatives and educates the public about MĂ©tis people and culture.
The ADI is a registered charitable organization that was developed by Métis Nation of British Columbia’s Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language in 2023. Ministry staff are currently overseeing the Institute's program delivery and operations until the Institute is further established and has sustainable funding to maintain operations independently.
