The Cedar Science Camp is an ongoing UBC initiative to promote science education to Aboriginal youth (aged 8-12) within the lower mainland. Cedar is supported by the UBC Faculties of Science and Land and Food Systems at UBC.

Our mission is to connect every youth in Metro Vancouver with the natural environment and to the Metro Vancouver Regional Parks system and surrounding communities, in a hands-on way, to provide life changing experiences. CTS delivers on our mission by providing accessible weekend overnight camps for free to youth ages 12-18. We also promote youth leadership with our Peer Leader program, allowing youth ages 15-18 to take a central role in the operation and planning of our summer weekend overnight camps, providing them with training session from November-June. The programs goal is to: Create region-wide opportunities for youth to challenge themselves in leadership, social responsibility and personal development; Provide an opportunity for youth to connect with their communities through citizen action, environmental stewardship, public service and community education; Help support and integrate youth into park and community associated activities and purposes.
Cascade Bicycle Club, the nation’s largest statewide bicycle nonprofit, serves bike riders of all ages and abilities throughout the state of Washington. Carousel Theatre for Young People provides playful, exceptional and accessible theatrical experiences that inspire, involve and educate. Each season approximately 40 000 young people and their families benefit from CTYP’s programming. At Carousel Theatre for Young People we believe that the arts, and specifically theatre, plays a vital role in a young person’s development. It takes a village to raise a child. CTYP is an intrinsic part of that village.
Carousel Theatre for Young People (CTYP) empowers young people and families through meaningful, imaginative, and accessible theatrical experiences. The productions we create and present engage youth, families, and educators in live theatre and platform stories for and about communities that are underrepresented; they develop emotional literacy, stimulate community, encourage growth, and inspire minds in a unifying experience. CTYP focuses on introducing young minds to new ideas and enabling them to talk about them. Car Free Days Vancouver is more than a festival; it celebrates diversity, sustainability, creativity, and connection. CFD is a community-led and created festival. Our multi-site annual festival transforms busy streets into vibrant public spaces, bringing artists, performers, local businesses, and communities together.
We are a non-profit organisation that supports and helps organize the four Car Free Day festivals that happens annually in June in the City of Vancouver. We are currently completely volunteer run and community oriented. Such as Captain Scott awards recognition, celebration events, the “Good News” journalism, and publishing (Online, print).
Who We Are For 50 years, Capilano Community Services Society (CCSS) has connected residents of the North Shore to their communities by providing support services, resources, and outreach programs that address the current and emerging needs of frail and isolated seniors, at-risk youth, and other vulnerable populations. CCSS also operates the Red Cross health equipment loan program and provides administrative support to four other on-site non-profit organizations. What We Do Our programming is designed to support and enhance social connections, active living, opportunities for learning, healthy aging, well-being, and resiliency, all with equity, diversity, and inclusion lens. Through this programming, our goals are to reduce vulnerability and foster vibrant, inclusive, caring communities where residents feel a sense of belonging and can thrive. Collaborating with other community organizations, our programming builds capacity across the North Shore.
