Founded in 1970, the British Columbia Foundation for Non-Animal Research (BCFNAR) shepherds and honours the legacy of Evelyn Martin, R.N. in an effort to replace the use of animals in medical research, testing and education.
The Foundation provides grants to emerging or established scientists for biomedical experiments or teaching methods that do not involve animal use. This can also include capital equipment and software which facilitates the replacement of animal use in teaching or training.
The Foundation is also committed to supporting a diverse range of creative methods that challenge the use of animals in research, testing, and education and encourages the adoption of alternatives to harmful animal use across Canada.

The BC Epilepsy Society is a provincially incorporated non-profit, and federally registered charitable organization dedicated to serving British Columbians living with epilepsy, and their families.

To empower, educate and support British Columbians living with epilepsy and their families, and support research to make their lives easier.
Our History
The BC Epilepsy Society was incorporated as a registered charity on August 17, 1959, under the leadership of pediatric neurologist Dr. Norman Auckland.
Dr. Auckland believed that an increased understanding of epilepsy, among those living with the disorder and their families, could help those living with epilepsy to help themselves.
The Society's programs and services today remain true to Dr. Auckland's original vision of support and education.

We work with children, families, caregivers and hundreds of thousands of British Columbians each year to raise funds to support child health.
The BC Chapter of the American Marketing Association has been this province’s leading marketing source since 1955. As one of the most highly regarded chapters in North America, BCAMA was awarded with the prestigious international “Chapter of the Year” Award in each of the three years spanning 1994-1997, as well as numerous other awards over the last 20 years.
The BCAMA is made up of over 500 members, and has a contact database of over 3,000 BC marketing, advertising, and communications professionals. A non-profit association, BCAMA is made possible by a dedicated team of volunteers including Board Members, Committee Members, and Sponsors.

The BC Association of Aboriginal Friendship Centres (BCAAFC) is the umbrella association for the 25 Friendship Centres throughout the Province of British Columbia.
The Friendship Centre Movement began in the 1950s. The movement represents a national network, united by the vision of a vibrant society that supports Indigenous peoples and a brighter future in Canada.
Friendship Centres are community hubs. They offer culturally safe programs and services, and provide a welcoming space for all members of the community to share knowledge and connect with others.
This opportunity is to support Gathering Our Voices, the largest Indigenous youth gathering across BC and Canada.
The BC Artisan Marketing Society (BCAMS) has undertaken the establishment of a fund that will provide scholarships to deserving emerging artisans so they may continue their post graduate education and training.
The fund is in its infancy, but will grow rapidly through public donations and sponsorships that the BCAMS will seek at the artisan market events it produces throughout the year.
Once the fund reaches a sustainable level, scholarship amounts will be announced by the BCAMS directors and application criteria will be posted and invitations to apply distributed throughout the artisan community. A panel of accomplished artisans will make the final selection of the winner, chosen from among successful applicants.
BC & Alberta Guide Dogs breeds, raises and professionally trains Guide Dogs for individuals who are blind/visually-impaired, and Autism Support Dogs for children with moderate to profound autism aged 3-10 and their families. It takes two years and upwards of $35,000 to produce one certified dog, provided free of charge to the recipient.
