A Ride To Care For Cancer Patients The Volunteer Cancer Drivers Society is a not-for-profit organization providing complimentary transportation for lower mainland residents battling cancer. When you are in need of transportation to care we are here to support you with safe, timely and efficient service. We are a registered charity and work to raise the funds necessary to meet expenses associated with meeting cancer patient needs. Our team of volunteer drivers and dispatchers offers peace of mind for patients who may not have the means to drive to and from essential cancer treatments and medical appointments. The physical, emotional and financial burden is lifted knowing our friendly volunteers are only a call away.

This is an initiative started during Covid Pandemic to help teach Punjabi to people of all ages. We have been remotely teaching Punjabi to students all around the world. Our volunteers are fluent in both Punjabi and English. Since Punjabi Schools and Traditional methods of learning Punjabi were challenged during the lockdown, we have created a system that allows you to take full benefit of learning Punjabi and getting your volunteer hours based on your availability and flexibility in your schedule.

Beach Clean Up Organization is a non-profit organization that dedicates to environmental protection. We provide volunteer opportunities for local high school students who are willing to join us and help to clean up White Rock Beach. We will voluntarily clean up all the waste on White Rock Beach.

A registered non-profit organization aiming to create volunteering opportunities within the Lower Mainland and address a variety of issues relevant to the community. Through the organization of several fundraising events, the organization works to do hands-on volunteer work in BC. Participates in and organizes a broad range of volunteering activities, such as food, toy, and clothing drives, blood drives, and fundraisers for the Canadian Cancer Society and the Heart and Stroke Foundation.

The mission of the Hancock Wildlife Foundation is to promote the conservation and appreciation of wildlife and their habitats through science, education, and stewardship. We aim to accomplish these goals through our programs, including: - Live streaming cameras to engage the public on wildlife behavior and natural history and incite a sense of inspiration and appreciation - Scientific research projects to address gaps in our knowledge and understanding of local wildlife species - Providing a public forum for discourse and exchange of ideas on wildlife and wildlife related issues - The production and publication of wildlife books and educational materials on ecological and natural history topics - Providing expertise on human-wildlife conflict and creating viable mitigation options to allow for sustainable co-existence

The Amelia Douglas Institute (ADI) celebrates and uplifts Métis culture in British Columbia through educational exhibitions, programs, and research. The Institute connects Métis people throughout the province with their culture, heritage, and Michif languages through virtual and in-person resources and initiatives and educates the public about Métis people and culture. The ADI is a registered charitable organization that was developed by Métis Nation of British Columbia’s Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language in 2023. Ministry staff are currently overseeing the Institute's program delivery and operations until the Institute is further established and has sustainable funding to maintain operations independently. The ADI’s showroom and exhibition space opened to the public in January 2024 and is located at #300 13401 108 Ave Surrey BC. Robin Hood Army Canada (RHAC) aims to serve and empower communities-in-need, and help eradicate homelessness in Canada through empathy, teamwork and awareness. The primary role of a Robin (volunteer of RHAC) is to deliver food, clothing and hygiene items to shelters in Ajax and Oshawa, to facilitate basic life skills workshops and create awareness. Volunteers are required on ongoing basis with most drives being carried out on weekends, and can devote time as convenient to them Volunteer roles include - -Robins deliver surplus or freshly prepared food from restaurants, events and homes, to homeless people, refugee families and shelters. They also deliver clothing, hygiene items or basic life skills workshops to people-in-need. During COVID-19 all pickups and drop-offs are contactless. -As a Robin, you can help from the comfort of your home – with social media, check-in calls, metrics, partnerships, IT, research, and looking at addressing some of the root causes of homelessness in your city. There is something for everyone to do. Volunteers are required to be over the age of 18. Once the registration form is submitted, our Onboarding Team will reach out to familiarize you with the needs, risks, actions, and expectations.
