We are a non-profit organisation that supports and helps organize the four Car Free Day festivals that happens annually in June in the City of Vancouver. We are currently completely volunteer run and community oriented. Our Vision is a renewed community culture with reclaimed public spaces, shared local knowledge & resources, and better environmental policies. Our Mission is to nurture and grow car-free spaces in collaboration with local communities.

We are a University of British Columbia (UBC) AMS Club dedicated to promoting the joys of music and providing quality music education to children in a fun environment by focusing on improvisation. We run free after-school music programs at Queen Alexandra Elementary School, and we are looking for volunteer violin teachers.
The Powell Street Festival Society is dedicated to cultivating and celebrating Japanese Canadian arts and culture! Our main focus is the production of the Powell Street Festival (PSF), now in its 39th year. It is the largest event of its kind in Canada and the longest running festival in Metro Vancouver. The PSF includes musical performances, traditional dance, an amateur sumo wrestling competition, martial arts demonstrations, bonsai and ikebana exhibits, lots of Japanese food… and more! This year, the festival will be held August 1st and 2nd, in Oppenheimer Park.

CelticFest Vancouver is a non-profit Society registered in British Columbia since 2004. The Society’s mission is to: Bring together the local community in an annual festival celebration of Celtic Culture and the St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Deliver education on global Celtic heritage, art and cultural traditions. Promote and showcase local and international Celtic music, dance, spoken word, theatre, film, art, crafts, food/beverage and Highland sports.
Growing Chefs! is a local charity that teaches kids about healthy food and healthy food systems by putting volunteers into elementary schools to lead lessons on urban gardening and healthy, sustainable eating. Through our hands-on program, kids learn to grow their own garden and are led through basic cooking lessons with the food they have grown themselves.
