The Vancouver Botanical Gardens Association (VBGA) is a charitable not-for-profit, incorporated under the BC Societies Act. Our mission is to engage people of all ages and walks of life in the importance of biodiversity to our lives, and to foster a lifelong love of plants and gardens by virtue of their participation in our programs and services.

Community Arts Council of Vancouver (CACV) was the first arts council in North America. Since its beginning in 1946, the Community Arts Council of Vancouver has been a contributor to shaping the cultural life of Vancouver. CACV is an independent non-profit charitable organization, unaffiliated with any government department.   Our vision is of a socially-engaged, inclusive, and vibrant city alive with community arts. Community arts is made by, with, for, and because of people sharing a sense of community, with the support of professional artists. We currently advance our vision across Vancouver through community arts programs that address social exclusion and accessibility of creative opportunities, Indigenous and non-Indigenous relationships, and sustainability in the arts sector. CACV programs include: Reframing Relations, Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival, Community Arts Network – GATHER, and Artist in Residence currently partnering with John Howard Society of the Lower Mainland.

The Board of Directors of The Friends of Jericho Arts Centre (FOJACS), is the not for profit society that manages the Jericho Arts Centre - a busy Vancouver west side theatre space where both community and professional theatre groups produce their work.

UBC Recreation Intramurals hosts iconic events nearly every week throughout the school year at varying levels of competition. Alongside these events, our organization runs ten intramural leagues throughout the academic year. UBC Recreation is committed to making these events and leagues an inclusive, accessible, and respectful experience for all of its patrons, volunteers, and staff.

Founded in 2011, Vancouver Cabaret exists to connect professional Vancouver-based circus artists with an audience, enabling large ideas to take the stage, as well as to inspire the local community by presenting acclaimed work by national and international circus performers.

The Juno and Grammy-award winning Vancouver Symphony Orchestra is the largest arts organization in Western Canada and third largest orchestra in Canada. We present passionate, high-quality performances of classical, popular and culturally diverse music, creating meaningful engagement with audiences of all ages and backgrounds wherever we perform and developing and delivering inspirational education and community programs.

The HSCPC is a non-profit volunteer organization that works in partnership with the Vancouver Police Department (VPD), the City of Vancouver, and community agencies. Our purpose is to develop and operate programs that address crime and safety issues in order to foster and maintain a safe and healthy community. Volunteers take part in a variety of programs and activities to engage the community, promote leadership and assist with crime and safety concerns.

Seeks to increase student interest and involvement in STEM by engaging them in hands-on. Enhance the ability of Robotics by learning together. We set a Junior Robotics Competition every year, and help G-K12 school to setup their robotics club.

The West Point Grey Community Centre is jointly operated by the West Point Grey Community Association and the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. The centre offers an exciting blend of programming in Recreation, Sport and the Arts for all age groups. The West Point Grey Community Association mission is to promote individual and community development by providing quality leisure services.

The Board represents the people in our community and steers the strategic direction of programming and operations at West Point Grey Community Centre with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation. Board members believe in the importance of neighbourhood-based community centres and have a desire to work in a team to develop and foster community engagement throughout the West Point Grey community. Directors are asked to attend one Board meeting per month - except for August - and at least one Committee meeting per month. Committees include Governance, Finance, Marketing, Programming/ Operations and Facilities. We are particularly eager to have more representation on our Board from youth (at least 18 years of age) and individuals with a background in arts, culture and/or recreation. Located in East Vancouver, Urban Native Youth Association (UNYA) is a registered not-for-profit society. UNYA was formed in 1988 to address issues facing Indigenous youth, when growing numbers of young Indigenous people were leaving reserves for the city. Today, approximately 60% of the Indigenous population in Canada lives in urban settings, and 60% of the overall Indigenous population is under the age of 25. UNYA is the only Indigenous youth hub in the Vancouver area, and currently operates over 20 programs designed to support the immediate and long-term needs of urban Indigenous youth.
