We accomplish our mission through a range of initiatives, including the development of innovative AI tools and hosting workshops and creator-thons. These activities provide individuals with the knowledge, resources, and guidance they need to unleash their creativity and effectively share their stories with the world. Our tools are designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of creators. Through these tools, individuals can explore different mediums such as writing, photography, videography, podcasting, and more, allowing them to express themselves in ways that resonate with their unique talents and interests. In addition to providing tools, we host workshops and creator-thons that offer valuable learning experiences and hands-on guidance. These events bring together aspiring creators, industry professionals, and mentors to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their skills, receive feedback on their work, and gain insights into the creative industry. Swim Drink Fish works at the confluence of water, people, and storytelling, using community science, technology, and communications to connect people to water. Through a network of Community Water Monitoring Hubs, Swim Drink Fish has inspired, and continues to inspire, people to know and safeguard their local waters. Swim Drink Fish initiatives are active in 171 communities in 11 countries. As a volunteer-led group, the Swim Drink Fish vision of creating swimmable, drinkable, fishable water for everyone started with people. It’s this vision that has connected people to the water’s edge and given communities access to their local waters. Our vision has come to fruition, and continues to grow, thanks to the power of community-based action. We use the tools of a diverse group of passionate water lovers with the same goal in mind: swimmable, drinkable, fishable water for everyone. Our vision has never wavered, and that’s why the past is powering our present and the future, as we continue to look forward with people powering us there.

Give Back Market is a social purchasing platform for smallholder organic spice farmers. The platform has launched a Combat Hunger Challenge on the World Food Programme's Share the Meal app to bring much needed food and supplies to families and children around the world.

Point Grey Village is one of the 22 Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Vancouver. It is managed by the Point Grey Village Business Association, a non-profit organization that each business and property owner on West 10th Avenue between Discovery and Tolmie Streets is a member of. Our BIA has a two fold mandate: 1) To improve, beautify and maintain public lands & buildings within the BIA, beyond what is provided by the municipality at large. 2) To promote the areas as a business and shopping area – including eateries, shops and services – beyond what businesses can do individually. BIA benefit local economies through various initiatives.

Make-A-Wish Canada is an independently operating affiliate of Make-A-Wish international. We create life-changing wishes for children with critical illnesses, and we are on a quest to bring every eligible child's wish to life, because a wish is an integral part of a child's treatment journey. Research shows children who have wishes granted can build the physical and emotional strength they need to fight a critical illness. Make-A-Wish is the world’s leading children’s wish-granting organization, operating in 50 countries. Here in Canada, we serve children in every community from coast to coast to coast.

The Khatsalano Street Party is the largest and most exciting free outdoor music street festival in Vancouver, BC, and an amazing opportunity for volunteers to be a part of the action! SWAN Vancouver promotes the rights, health, and safety of immigrant women engaged in indoor sex work through front-line service and systemic advocacy.

OpenTable centers on a gathering at Cityview Church every Thursday at noon. OpenTable provides a safe place to enjoy a warm, nourishing meal and provides a community that offers hope and friendship for all, including those struggling with housing, food security, finances, addiction, or mental/physical health challenges. The gathering also includes a short message, bible reading, and prayer.

The Kettle Society's mission is to enhance the quality of life for individuals living with mental illness. We do this by providing advocacy, housing, employment and community services; offering opportunities to gather and access compassionate assistance; supporting recovery for those living with mental illness; promoting mental health in the community; and promoting inclusion of individuals living with mental illness in all aspects of society.

Collingwood Neighbourhood House (CNH) provides services and community development initiatives aimed at improving the quality of life of residents in the Renfrew-Collingwood area of east Vancouver. Activities are targeted primarily to low and middle income families. Services are delivered in a variety of languages with emphasis on building social connections, capacity, cross-cultural sharing and life-long learning. Residents of all ages participate in educational, cultural, social, health, economic and recreational services, as well as contribute towards building a safe and caring community through volunteer contributions, leadership and partnership development. CNH is a non-profit, social services agency serving the community since 1985. We are guided by our vision, mission, and values statements to provide services and opportunities to our community. We offer licensed child care (including $10/day child care), immigrant services, recreation, youth, seniors and intercultural opportunities, including programs related to food, arts and celebrations, community initiatives, intercultural projects, and homelessness outreach. In 2020, we became the first neighbourhood house in North America to operate a Community Health Centre.

At Zajac Ranch for Children we work hard to ensure hundreds of children with long term medical conditions and disabilities can come to camp each summer. We share a passion for helping children and take pride in our work inspiring others within our community.
