Special Olympics BC is dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals with intellectual disabilities through sport.  Through the power and joy of sports, comes the ability to discover new strengths and abilities, skills and success.  Special Olympics athletes find confidence, and fulfillment - on the playing field and in life.  They inspire people in their communities and elsewhere to open their hearts to a wider world of human talents and potential. We provide our athletes with opportunities to train and compete in high quality year-round sport programs and competitions - local, provincial, national and international.  Athletes gain more than just physical benefits from improved health and athletic abilities, they develop social skills and friendships while experiencing the joy of achieving goals and increasing their self esteem.

Start2Finish is a national nonprofit that works with elementary school students in over 70 under-resourced communities across the country. Our mission is to break the cycle of child poverty by providing ongoing educational support to Canada’s at-risk children throughout their school years, nurturing mind, body and social health so they are empowered to succeed and become role models for change. Our vision is to eradicate the effects of child poverty in Canada.
