Hand Me Down Raise Me Up is an online fundraising platform that sells second hand items donated by students to students (clothing/books). All proceeds will be given to Canada’s UNICEF Children’s fund, which will be used to provide nourishment, healthcare, and education for children in need around the world. This allows students to have cheaper and more direct access to second hand learning resources such as textbooks, study guides, and workbooks. This further promotes sustainability by stimulating reuse of items that would have otherwise been neglected.

Founded in 1970, the British Columbia Foundation for Non-Animal Research (BCFNAR) shepherds and honours the legacy of Evelyn Martin, R.N. in an effort to replace the use of animals in medical research, testing and education. The Foundation provides grants to emerging or established scientists for biomedical experiments or teaching methods that do not involve animal use. This can also include capital equipment and software which facilitates the replacement of animal use in teaching or training. The Foundation is also committed to supporting a diverse range of creative methods that challenge the use of animals in research, testing, and education and encourages the adoption of alternatives to harmful animal use across Canada.

The mission of the Karina LeBlanc foundation is to empower young girls and women to meet their fullest leadership potential, on and off the field.  The foundation promotes and instills leadership values through its leadership program and awards scholarships to individuals who require financial support in order to further their education.

We are a small but mighty team, made up of individuals who come from lived experience of Executive or Senior level leadership. Each of us had been impacted by workplace challenges, pressures, or toxic culture, all of which eventually led us through waves of burnout and health challenges. Having to face the outcomes of burnout, we were forced to weather the storm however that looked for each of us. As a collective, we have come together to find a way to advocate for new leaders and develop a system of support for nonprofit organizations, associations, small businesses, and start-up initiatives. We aim to grow our membership, made up of seasoned leaders, to be able to share knowledge, create a space for support and think tanks, as well as collectively create ways to advocate for Pink Elephant workplace issues. At S.H.E., we bring compassion, empathy, and humility into our work. Always leaning on our learnings, and creating avenues for open conversations and continual growth. We strive to keep our minds curious, learn from each other, and bring attention and care to the work we do for you and your team. On September 15th, 2024, hundreds of thousands of people across Canada will lace up to participate in the annual Terry Fox Run to raise funds for cancer research. Now in its 44nd year, the event continues to stay true to its roots with a non-competitive, grassroots and family-oriented spirit, with communities all over Canada joining together to realize Terry Fox’s vision of a world without cancer.

The primary mandate of the OCD Clinic is to provide provincial specialized consultation for children and youth age 6-18 with complex Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and related disorders who have not responded to community treatment resources. In addition, the OCD clinic provides education to families, community clinicians, schools and public health agencies, which includes community education events. Furthermore, the OCD Clinic conducted research to increase our understanding of the etiology and needs of youth with OCD and related disorders, along with their families, and to also inform evidence-based practice. Research on the causation, long-term course and treatment of OCD is an integral aspect of the clinic’s activities.

Options for Sexual Health is based in British Columbia and is Canada's largest non-profit provider of sexual health services through clinics, education programs, and the 1-800 SEX SENSE information and referral line. Our clinics specialize in providing sexual and reproductive health services. We offer low-cost contraceptives, sexually transmitted infection testing, Pap testing, pregnancy testing, and pro-choice pregnancy options counselling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive education, accurate information, support for sexual expression and reproductive choice, and confidential clinical services that help British Columbians enjoy healthy sexuality throughout life.
