The new vista society is a senior facility located in Burnaby on Edmonds with 240 residents. We are looking for passionate Art therapist volunteers who would like to bring a difference in seniors' lives by visiting them and engaging them with Art therapy.

Not many Vancouverites are aware but Vancouver is one of few municipalities that offer recreation programming via partnerships with volunteer-driven not-for-profit societies. Led by an elected volunteer Board of Directors, the Trout Lake Community Centre Association (TLCCA) has been working behind the scenes here since 1956 to ensure offerings are tailored to local need. Our mission is to provide accessible and inclusive social, cultural, recreational and educational opportunities that strengthen individual, family and community wellbeing.

Science World is a charitable non-profit and science centre based in Vancouver, BC that engages learners across the province in STEAM (science, technology, engineering, art & design and math). Visitors to our iconic geodesic dome explore interactive, hands-on exhibits and galleries that nurture their process of discovery and inspire connection with their natural, physical and built environments. Participants in our outreach programs—students, teachers and families in every region of BC—access the experience of Science World through virtual visits from scientists, livestream science shows, and weekly afterschool STEAM mentorship. At Science World, we inspire the next generation of problem solvers, world changers and nerds.

Take a Pain Check Foundation is an Ontario registered, youth-led community and non-profit organization founded in self-advocacy to empower youth with rheumatic diseases. They host bi-weekly podcasts, run ambassador programs for health professionals and youth, pilot rheumatic-related events, feature stories on their blog platform and lead monthly Joint Chat Rheum hangouts.

JDRF is the leading global organization funding type 1 diabetes (T1D) research. Our strength lies in our exclusive focus and singular influence on the worldwide effort to end T1D.

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), North and West Vancouver branch is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We provide a wide range of innovative and essential services and supports tailored to and in partnership with the communities of North and West Vancouver, Bowen Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor. The North and West Vancouver Branch of CMHA has been providing services to the North Shore community since 1958 and we embrace people with mental health issues in all facets of our organization – as Board Directors, volunteers and employees. We dedicate ourselves to empowering, supporting and improving the quality of life of mental health consumers and increasing the overall wellness of our communities.

We are an emerging collective of diverse trainers, facilitators, and practitioners committed to supporting collaboration and inclusion in organizations and communities working for racial and climate justice. We do this by building skills, practices and systems that subvert structures and habits of dominance, right/wrong thinking, shaming and blaming, and reward and punishment. We offer training, coaching and consulting services that allow organizations to attend to impact and harm as it arises, building trust and connection. Give Back Market is a social purchasing platform for smallholder organic spice farmers. The platform has launched a Combat Hunger Challenge on the World Food Programme's Share the Meal app to bring much needed food and supplies to families and children around the world.

Point Grey Village is one of the 22 Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Vancouver. It is managed by the Point Grey Village Business Association, a non-profit organization that each business and property owner on West 10th Avenue between Discovery and Tolmie Streets is a member of. Our BIA has a two fold mandate: 1) To improve, beautify and maintain public lands & buildings within the BIA, beyond what is provided by the municipality at large. 2) To promote the areas as a business and shopping area – including eateries, shops and services – beyond what businesses can do individually. BIA benefit local economies through various initiatives.

The PACE Program provides a range of early intervention as well as treatment services to young children and their families, where there may be ongoing concerns about the child’s emotional well-being and/or challenging behaviours. This continuum of services ranges from support within neighbourhood childcare settings, to more intensive services for children and families who have experienced significant distressing events in their life. PACE believes in providing a “wrap-around” service to families, working in partnership with parents, caregivers and other professionals. The PACE Program, operated by the PACE Child & Family Society, has been a resource for children, families and the community since 1984. The agency is primarily funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD). Many of the services are accredited by CARF.
