We accomplish our mission through a range of initiatives, including the development of innovative AI tools and hosting workshops and creator-thons. Our tools are designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of creators. Through these tools, individuals can explore different mediums such as writing, photography, videography, podcasting, and more, allowing them to express themselves in ways that resonate with their unique talents and interests. In addition to providing tools, we host workshops and creator-thons that offer valuable learning experiences and hands-on guidance. These events bring together aspiring creators, industry professionals, and mentors to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their skills, receive feedback on their work, and gain insights into the creative industry. Central to our organization's ethos is the belief that everyone's story matters. We actively promote inclusivity, diversity, and the amplification of underrepresented voices. Give Back Market is a social purchasing platform for smallholder organic spice farmers. The platform has launched a Combat Hunger Challenge on the World Food Programme's Share the Meal app to bring much needed food and supplies to families and children around the world.

Point Grey Village is one of the 22 Business Improvement Areas (BIAs) in Vancouver. It is managed by the Point Grey Village Business Association, a non-profit organization that each business and property owner on West 10th Avenue between Discovery and Tolmie Streets is a member of. Our BIA has a two fold mandate: 1) To improve, beautify and maintain public lands & buildings within the BIA, beyond what is provided by the municipality at large. 2) To promote the areas as a business and shopping area – including eateries, shops and services – beyond what businesses can do individually. BIA benefit local economies through various initiatives.

The PACE Program provides a range of early intervention as well as treatment services to young children and their families, where there may be ongoing concerns about the child’s emotional well-being and/or challenging behaviours. This continuum of services ranges from support within neighbourhood childcare settings, to more intensive services for children and families who have experienced significant distressing events in their life. PACE believes in providing a “wrap-around” service to families, working in partnership with parents, caregivers and other professionals. The PACE Program, operated by the PACE Child & Family Society, has been a resource for children, families and the community since 1984. The agency is primarily funded by the Ministry for Children and Family Development (MCFD). Many of the services are accredited by CARF.

Rise is a national organization dedicated to empowering people with mental health and addiction challenges to achieve greater social and economic inclusion through entrepreneurship. Rise provides training, mentorship, micro-financing and other customs supports to help individuals build the skills and access the capital they need to build small businesses that can create meaningful employment and improve quality of life. Since 2010, Rise has disbursed more than $3.1 million via 750+ low-interest loans and, with the support of 800+ volunteers nationwide, has helped empower more than 2,000 Canadians from coast to coast as entrepreneurs. Our community-based research informs our services, with the intention of deepening connections and improving the lives of youth, families, and their communities. The Society for Children and Youth of BC (SCY) is a unique provincial organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children and youth in British Columbia. Since 1974, the Society has focused on providing a strong voice representing children and youth. We provide support to adult duty bearers to improve the well-being of children and youth in British Columbia. Using the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child as a foundation, SCY has a track record of creating and delivering programs that have motivated change in research, legislation, policy, and practice in Canada.

ALS Canada Buck-A-Puck for ALS is a grassroots fundraising initiative that brings together a passion for hockey with an unwavering commitment to supporting the ALS Society of Canada’s (ALS Canada) research program across the country. We aim to create a lasting impact by raising awareness and vital funds to fight amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS), commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. The concept is simple yet powerful: For every dollar raised, players will take a shot on net – whether in a game, on their own time at home, or playing with friends. Ten dollars equals ten shots, $100 equals 100 shots – you get the idea! Whether you’re cheering from the stands or following the game from the comfort of your home, you can participate in this fun-loving initiative by making a simple donation.

Children’s Autism Federation of B.C. (CAFBC) was founded as a grassroots organization to hold the government accountable for policy decisions surrounding individual autism funding in British Columbia (B.C.). As we continue to navigate through the political and ethical issues surrounding any shift in a service delivery model, the Children’s Autism Federation of B.C. remains focused on ensuring that all autistic children and their families have their voices amplified and their needs understood. CAFBC will continue to hold the government accountable for any change that will negatively impact children in the autism community and continue to bring awareness to these issues. WHAT WE DO Children's Autism Federation of BC has focused on advocacy and support for a service delivery model that truly encompasses the needs of all autistic children. We are non-profit organization that receives no government funding. The primary focus being the importance of retaining individual funding and timely diagnosis. CAFBC also supports families throughout their pre to post-diagnosis journey. We have provided recommendations to the Government on a framework for children and youth with support needs. Most recently, CAFBC launched our Research and Support Division. This enables families to find resources and support within a one-stop-shop delivery model. Families may access support for the application of autism funding, advocacy-related resources or even autism-related recommendations.

The Yard Garden Harvest Program (YGHP) grows food in five of our neighbours' yards to provide local, community-grown produce to Little Mountain Neighbourhood House's Food Distribution Program. The YGHP is rooted in deepening connections by engaging with landowners and volunteers while growing food in a way that benefits the soil, the pollinators, and our community!
