Each spring, we join together to build a more hopeful future for all those affected by workplace tragedies.
On any given working day, three families will learn a loved one won't return home from work. Thousands more will experience a workplace injury or illness that will change their lives forever. Their families, friends, and co-workers will rally together to be there for one another.
The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease.
Every year, Threads of Life hosts Steps for Life. This 5-km family walk aims to educate the community. It highlights the ripple effects of workplace tragedies. And, it shows how we can prevent such incidents.

Since 2006, BEST’s (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation) Bike Valet has been providing professional, secure, coat-check style bicycle parking in and around Metro Vancouver. The Bicycle Valet is one of Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) initiatives.
It’s simple! Ride your bike to the Valet at one of our events, and we’ll take care of the rest. Just like a coat-check, we’ll tag your bike and provide you with a claim stub. Enjoy the event, and bring back the claim stub when you want your bike returned. You can even leave your helmet or panniers on your bike (securely attached of course).
We also offer lots of sustainable transportation resources in Metro Vancouver, including City of Vancouver pocket maps, Regional Cycling Maps, Translink transit maps, and other municipalities’ cycling maps. Our friendly Valet team members are also always happy to chat, provided we’re not too busy parking bicycles!

Fridays on Front is Downtown New West’s signature summer event series, bringing together food, music, and community vibes every Friday night. Fridays On Front is organized by the Downtown New West BIA which, since its founding in 1989,
has brought together over 650 property owners and businesses to energize and promote Downtown New West. Fridays On Front transforms Front Street into a celebration filled with live music, local food and drink, community vendors, and themed experiences that bring thousands of people into the heart of downtown.
Our community farm grows food for the Richmond Food Bank and Musqueam Free Market on 4.5 acres in Richmond, BC with dedicated volunteer support. We grow food. We grow farmers. We grow community.
Penny Appeal Canada is a Canadian humanitarian organization dedicated to breaking the cycle of poverty and building resilient communities. International Youth Fellowship (IYF) is a Christian-based global youth initiative of International Youth Fellowship Educational Foundation (IYFEF), a non-profit organization in the state of California. IYF is dedicated to the spiritual, intellectual, and emotional growth of young people around the world.
Through proprietary programs, events, and practical opportunities, IYF strives to:
- Advance Christian mission work in developed and developing countries
- Administer alternative methods of post-secondary education
- Create international awareness and cultural exchange
- Promote the value of meaningful performing arts
- Facilitate short-term and long-term volunteerism domestically and overseas
- Develop leadership skills that are applied on a global level
Harvest Community church is growing and we need volunteers who are christian young adult male(s) to help teach our kids about God and help with mentorship.
We are looking for
Christian young adults 18-30yrs
Comfortable praying and talking about God
Leadership skills
Helping create a fun and exciting atmosphere for the kids
Can think outside the box (because we do!)
Work with all cultures

For 120 years St. John's Anglican Church in North Vancouver has been serving our community with worship, outreach programs and providing space for other nonprofit organizations.
We are both a geographical region covering most of BC and Yukon, and a council of membership within The United Church of Canada.
Our mission and vision is to support the health of United Church communities of faith and ministries in our region, to nurture effective leadership, and to grow faithful public witness as United Church people.
Through staffing, finance, advice, advocacy and resources, the PMRC supports Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities of faith and ministries in making a difference in the world.
