Since 2006, BEST’s (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation) Bike Valet has been providing professional, secure, coat-check style bicycle parking in and around Metro Vancouver. The Bicycle Valet is one of Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) initiatives. It’s simple! Ride your bike to the Valet at one of our events, and we’ll take care of the rest. Just like a coat-check, we’ll tag your bike and provide you with a claim stub. Enjoy the event, and bring back the claim stub when you want your bike returned. You can even leave your helmet or panniers on your bike (securely attached of course). We also offer lots of sustainable transportation resources in Metro Vancouver, including City of Vancouver pocket maps, Regional Cycling Maps, Translink transit maps, and other municipalities’ cycling maps. Our friendly Valet team members are also always happy to chat, provided we’re not too busy parking bicycles!

Fridays on Front is Downtown New West’s signature summer event series, bringing together food, music, and community vibes every Friday night. Fridays On Front is organized by the Downtown New West BIA which, since its founding in 1989, has brought together over 650 property owners and businesses to energize and promote Downtown New West. Fridays On Front transforms Front Street into a celebration filled with live music, local food and drink, community vendors, and themed experiences that bring thousands of people into the heart of downtown.

Our community farm grows food for the Richmond Food Bank and Musqueam Free Market on 4.5 acres in Richmond, BC with dedicated volunteer support. We grow food. We grow farmers. We grow community.

For 120 years St. John's Anglican Church in North Vancouver has been serving our community with worship, outreach programs and providing space for other nonprofit organizations.

We are both a geographical region covering most of BC and Yukon, and a council of membership within The United Church of Canada. Our mission and vision is to support the health of United Church communities of faith and ministries in our region, to nurture effective leadership, and to grow faithful public witness as United Church people. Through staffing, finance, advice, advocacy and resources, the PMRC supports Indigenous and Non-Indigenous communities of faith and ministries in making a difference in the world.

The Labyrinth is found next door to St. Paul’s Anglican Church in the St Paul's Parish Hall complex (1140 Jervis Street) and is a full 13-metre replica of the medieval labyrinth laid in the stone floor of the 13th-century Cathédrale de Notre-Dame de Chartres, south of Paris, France. Our labyrinth was opened in 1996. For many, it is a way of centering themselves or of seeking insight during times of transition in their lives. The labyrinth is a spiritual form that is open to people of all faiths and spiritual disciplines as a resource for meditation, reflection, and prayer. Unlike a maze, labyrinths have only one path that leads into the centre and back out again. Often we have slips of paper and pens to write down your thoughts, meditations or prayers. There are also chairs and cushions for still forms of meditation and centering.

Robin Hood Army Canada (RHAC) aims to serve and empower communities-in-need, and help eradicate homelessness in Canada through empathy, teamwork and awareness. The primary role of a Robin (volunteer of RHAC) is to deliver food, clothing and hygiene items to shelters in Ajax and Oshawa, to facilitate basic life skills workshops and create awareness. Volunteers are required on ongoing basis with most drives being carried out on weekends, and can devote time as convenient to them Volunteer roles include - -Robins deliver surplus or freshly prepared food from restaurants, events and homes, to homeless people, refugee families and shelters. They also deliver clothing, hygiene items or basic life skills workshops to people-in-need. During COVID-19 all pickups and drop-offs are contactless. -As a Robin, you can help from the comfort of your home – with social media, check-in calls, metrics, partnerships, IT, research, and looking at addressing some of the root causes of homelessness in your city. There is something for everyone to do. Volunteers are required to be over the age of 18. Once the registration form is submitted, our Onboarding Team will reach out to familiarize you with the needs, risks, actions, and expectations.
