The Canadian International Dragon Boat Festival Society (dba Dragon Boat BC) is the non-profit producer of North Americaās flagship dragon boat festival, the Concord Pacific Dragon Boat Festival. This year, the Festival will feature a reimagined program celebrating our community, its cultures, and the spirit of competition.
The Society also produces a series of races, cultural programming, and community initiatives centred around the traditional Chinese sport of dragon boat. Through our All Access and youth programs, supported by the Milton K. Wong Legacy Project, the Society makes paddling experiences accessible regardless of any barriers to participation.

KidSportā¢ is a community-based sport-funding program established in 1993 by Sport BC. KidSportā¢ provides grants for children ages 18 and under to participate in a sport season of their choice. British Columbia Rugby Union, commonly known as BC Rugby,Ā is the recognised governing body for Rugby union in the province of British Columbia.Ā We areĀ a Not-For-Profit organisation and one of 60 Provincial Sport OrganisationsĀ (PSOs)Ā to receive funding from the Provincial Government.Ā Prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, we welcomed over 8,000 individuals to the game and registered 61 community rugby clubs across British Columbia.
Incorporated as a non-profit society in 1935, the Hastings Community Association (HCA) works in partnership with the Vancouver Park Board to provide recreation, social, educational and cultural opportunities in the Hastings-Sunrise area. The HCA provides subsidies for low-income users and emergency financial support to community programs. Through its activities and committees, the Association ensures that the community is represented at the Centre, Templeton Park Pool and in local planning & development issues.
