The BC Entertainment Hall of Fame celebrates and recognizes British Columbians who have a body of work in British Columbia

The BCRFA is the largest and most progressive industry organization in British Columbia. We are a collective group of restaurant professionals devoted to the sole purpose of creating the most favourable business environment for our members.

As the voice of BC restaurants, we are dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of our unique industry partners and restaurant members, providing valuable information and exclusive opportunities. Together, we help to improve business and achieve success. With more than 40 years experience, and with over 3,000 members, we continue to be the foremost resource for our industry.

The Professional BC Wedding Awards is the longest running wedding industry Awards program in Canada. We are an independent, unbiased and dedicated to finding and awarding the best of British Columbia's dynamic and creative wedding industry. These awards recognize some of the amazing creative talent, companies and individuals that make up British Columbia's wedding professionals.

Beehouse Foundation is a non-profit company dedicated to empowering individuals to share their unique stories and providing them with the necessary tools and support to become professional creators. We firmly believe that everyone possesses a voice worth hearing, and we strive to create opportunities for individuals to share their stories, which have the power to inspire, educate, and entertain others.

At Beehouse, we recognize the importance of storytelling and its potential to create positive social impact. Our mission is to foster an inclusive and supportive environment where individuals from all backgrounds can express themselves creatively and gain the skills needed to pursue professional careers as creators.

We accomplish our mission through a range of initiatives, including the development of innovative AI tools and hosting workshops and creator-thons. These activities provide individuals with the knowledge, resources, and guidance they need to unleash their creativity and effectively share their stories with the world.

Our tools are designed to be user-friendly, accessible, and tailored to the diverse needs of creators. Through these tools, individuals can explore different mediums such as writing, photography, videography, podcasting, and more, allowing them to express themselves in ways that resonate with their unique talents and interests.

In addition to providing tools, we host workshops and creator-thons that offer valuable learning experiences and hands-on guidance. These events bring together aspiring creators, industry professionals, and mentors to share knowledge, exchange ideas, and foster collaboration. Participants have the opportunity to enhance their skills, receive feedback on their work, and gain insights into the creative industry.

Central to our organization's ethos is the belief that everyone's story matters. We actively promote inclusivity, diversity, and the amplification of underrepresented voices. <div class="p-rich_text_section">BEST’s current programs include The Bicycle Valet, a social enterprise that provides free and secure bicycle parking, primarily at events throughout Metro Vancouver all year long. The Bicycle Valet relies on a large passionate team of staff, volunteers, and summer students who help foster sustainable transportation options in local communities.</div>

<div class="p-rich_text_section">Living Streets is BEST’s walking and pedestrian focused program. We work with Neighbourhood Houses and municipalities in BC to organize year-long walking events and opportunities for all ages. One of these events is Walk30: a 5 week fun competition in the spring focused on walking for health, supported by health authorities, municipalities, schools and other workplaces.</div>

Currently, the focus is on a three year systems change project (Seniors on the Move) across BC, as well as delivering workshops to skill up seniors exploring transportation options beyond driving alongside United Way BC.</div>

Enable impactful mentoring relationships where children and youth can discover their power and potential, in collaboration with our local communities. There is also a renewed focus on the fact that supporting children and youth is very much a community-based and collaborative effort. The mission reflects the holistic nature of child and youth development and expresses the essential need for mentorship in the formative years.

<span style="font-weight: 400">Biosphere Eco-Cities Canada (BECC) is a national, non-profit network that works to connect all Biosphere Eco-Cities across Canada. A </span><a href="https://bec-evb.ca/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Biosphere Eco-City</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> (BEC) is an urban area and surrounding countryside where cooperation and collaboration ensure that everyone’s actions can contribute to sustainability; ultimately fostering a culture of sustainability. Currently, there are five BEC initiatives across Canada; Ottawa (OBEC), Toronto (TBEC), Brampton (BBEC), Edmonton (EBEC), and Vancouver (VBEC). BECC provides support and acts as a resource and tool for collaboration among BECs while also implementing national sustainability projects. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400">BECs use 10 Themes of Sustainability (transportation, energy, design, habitat, food, natural capital, waste, health, recreation, and sense of place) and 5 Tools of Engagement (Database of Projects, Sustainability Plans, Workshops on Individual Themes, Demonstration Projects, and Council of Stakeholders) to create a culture of sustainability through community engagement, cooperation, innovation and sharing of knowledge, skills and information for sustainability.</span>

For 20 years, Breakfast Club of Canada has been nourishing children’s potential by making sure as many of them as possible have access to a healthy morning meal before school, in an environment that allows their self-esteem to grow and flourish. But the Club is much more than a breakfast program: we take a broader approach that promotes the core values of engagement, enrichment and empowerment, and we team up with communities and local partners to develop solutions adapted to their specific needs. Operating from coast to coast, the Breakfast Club of Canada helps feed 167 271 students every day in 1,455 schools.

BrickCan is an event that showcases adult LEGO® creations mostly from Canada and the U.S.  It is a 4 day event taking place on May 2-5, 2019 at River Rock Casino.  BrickCan has 2 days that are open for the public to come view the diplays on May 4th and 5th, 2019 from 9 am to 4 pm.  We are looking for volunteers to help out in our Creation Station where the children attending the event can play with bricks and participate in games.  Volunteers should have experience working with children and enjoy working in a busy, fun environment!

Canadian Mental Health Association (CMHA), North and West Vancouver branch is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. We provide a wide range of innovative and essential services and supports tailored to and in partnership with the communities of North and West Vancouver, Bowen Island, the Sunshine Coast and the Sea-to-Sky Corridor.

The North and West Vancouver Branch of CMHA has been providing services to the North Shore community since 1958 and we embrace people with mental health issues in all facets of our organization – as Board Directors, volunteers and employees. We dedicate ourselves to empowering, supporting and improving the quality of life of mental health consumers and increasing the overall wellness of our communities.

At CNIB Guide Dogs, we raise, train and match dogs with Canadians who are blind, Deafblind, or have low vision. We also raise our voices to ensure people with sight loss have opportunities to live, work and play without barriers.

Camp Goodtimes is a safety-focused, medically supervised, fun and recreational summer camp for children with cancer and their families; it is run through the Canadian Cancer Society.
