Opportunity Description

The Vancouver Friendship Walk is a vibrant and inclusive community event that brings people together to celebrate friendship, acceptance, and belonging. Hosted by Best Buddies Canada, the walk raises awareness and supports programs that create opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build meaningful connections and be fully included in their communities.

Volunteer Responsibilities May Include:

  • Assisting with event setup and takedown, including preparing tables, signage, and activity areas
  • Welcoming and guiding participants upon arrival, helping create a positive first impression
  • Supporting registration and check-in to ensure an organized and efficient process
  • Helping facilitate event activities and ensuring participants feel engaged and included
  • Providing general support throughout the event, including answering questions and assisting staff as needed
  • Contributing to a friendly, inclusive, and energetic atmosphere for all attendees
