Our Big Brothers Community Program pairs you with a Little Buddy based on personality and shared interests to build a supportive one-to-one relationship based on trust, connection, and fun! Our matches spend two or more hours once per week doing free or low-cost activities they enjoy most and are paired for a minimum of one year. Our Big Brothers are • Male, trans, and gender diverse individuals who are 18+. • Reliable, consistent, dedicated and respectful of others. • Able to meet weekly for 2 or more hours with a Mentee on weekends or afterschool. Our Little Brothers are • Boys, trans, and gender-diverse children and youth ages 7 to 14. • Those who would benefit from having a positive role model in their life. Global Choice Canada
Global Choice Canada is an international exchange program for high school students. We host students in Delta, BC from all over the world! We need volunteers to run orientations for our students in order to help them work through challenges like culture shock, homesickness, and more. We teach intercultural learning to help foster responsible global citizens.

What you’ll be doingAs a volunteer, you’ll support and lead a range of programs designed to promote safety in Mount Pleasant:Foot and Bike Patrols: Walk or cycle through the community, engaging with residents, checking in on areas of concern, offering aid such as water, snacks, or socks to those in need, picking up discarded needles or debris, and helping create a welcoming public space.Community Cleanups: Help keep Mount Pleasant clean and welcoming through regular garbage and litter removal initiatives.Information & Referrals: Provide support and guidance to residents and visitors seeking local resources or services.Community Outreach: Represent the MPCPC at public events, fairs, and educational workshops.Road Safety: Participate in pedestrian and road safety campaigns, including speed watch, cell watch, and school safety programs. Why Volunteer With Us?The MPCPC is a volunteer-led, non-profit organization.By volunteering with us, you’ll gain valuable, hands-on experience in community safety and social services. You’ll also receive training from MPCPC staff and partner organizations such as the Vancouver Police Department and ICBC. Volunteers have opportunities for leadership development and can build a strong foundation for future careers in law enforcement, social work, or community services. Who We’re Looking For:We're looking for people who are passionate about helping others and making a difference, curious, open-minded, and eager to learn. You should be comfortable talking to people from diverse backgrounds and be team-oriented, respectful, and community-focused.You don’t need previous experience—we provide all training. Requirements:Willing to complete a Vancouver Police Information Check.Able to commit to at least 6 hours per month for at least 6 months.At least 17 years old.
