We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Board of Directors, contributing to the strategic direction and governance of our organization. As a member of this Working Board, you will play a crucial role not only in shaping the future of our nonprofit charitable society but also the day-to-day operations. This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity.
Responsibilities:
– Provide leadership and strategic guidance to PCHC-MoM.
– Participate in board meetings and decision-making processes.
– Oversee financial performance and ensure fiscal responsibility.
– Assist in fundraising efforts and attracting / maintaining sponsorship.
– Utilize project management skills to oversee key initiatives, projects and programs.
– Advocate for and promote the organization’s work.
– Actively serve on at least one of the committees or a project-based working team.
Qualifications:
– Passion for cultural preservation and community empowerment.
– Demonstrated project and program management skills.
– Understanding of governance principles and fiduciary responsibilities of a charity.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Strong background in process improvement and strategic planning.
– Volunteer experience with community organizations an asset.
– Experience on a non-profit board an asset.
– Experience with marketing, web design and / or HR an asset.
