Opportunity Description:

On Saturday, July 14th, 2018, the Ghana-Canada Association of BC proudly presents GHANAFEST 2018 at Bear Creek Park (13750 88th Avenue) Surrey.  GHANAFEST 2018 is a community-family picnic where community members come together for a picnic, and enjoy some Ghanaian entertainment and learn about the culture.  Volunteers are needed on Saturday, from 5am-11pm (shifts are divided into 4-5 hours), to help make this community event a success.  The time slots are listed below:

 

– 5am-9am

– 9am-1pm

-1pm-6pm

-6pm-11pm

 

Volunteer Duties:

– setting up and taking down tents, tables, and chairs.

– walking around the festival and overseeing guests are having a good experience.

– other light duties as seen needed by Volunteer Coordinator.

 

Requirements to Volunteer:

None

 

Notes:

– Volunteers can choose more than 1 time slot to volunteer for if they wish.

– Volunteers will receive Volunteer/Community Service hours, as well as a letter of recommendation.
