Job Description
The Social Media Assistant acts as part of the frontline Social Media Team by interacting with customers and fans in real time on various online platforms. The right candidate will have excellent verbal and writing skills, the ability to work with cross-functional teams, a knack for research, and willingness to work during non standard business hours. Prior experience in Customer Service, Advertising, Public Relations, Social Media or Digital Marketing is preferred.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
- Generate, edit, publish and share daily content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
- Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
- Moderate all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
- Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
- Continuously improve by capturing and analyzing the appropriate social data/metrics, insights and best practices, and then acting on the information
Requirements and Skills
- 3-5 days per week, 4 or 5 hours, at least 3 months
- Strong English level – written and verbal
- Knowledge in Community Management or Administration of Social Profiles (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Linkedin, Twitter)
- Knowledge in graphic design (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator), photography and/or video edition software is an asset
- Microsoft Office (Word, Power Point, Excel)
- Proven creative and innovative capabilities
