Opportunity Description:

Vancouver Aboriginal Friendship Centre Society (VAFCS) Position: Volunteer Coordinator VAFCS is seeking an energetic, organized and committed volunteer Volunteer Coordinator for 2-3 days/week to: -recruit volunteers for annual events, special events, weekly and daily youth, family and elders programs -review and assess volunteer applications and match volunteers to event, or weekly and daily programming at VAFCS -conduct orientation session for volunteers -work with the VAFCS Management team to develop and improve volunteer program recruitement and program evaluation -work with VAFCS Program Coordinators to meet the needs of daily/weekly programs -work with VAFCS partners for special and annual events requiring volunteers -produce a monthly volunteer newsletter -maintain and update volunteer database VAFCS will provide a workspace complete with desk, computer, access to printing, photocopying, marketing tools etc Please submit your letters of interest complete with resume to Program Director, VAFCS 1607 E Hastings Street Vancouver, BC V5L 1S7 or via email: programdirector@vafcs.org Thank you for your interest.
