Farmers on 57th Society (Farmers on 57th Volunteer-Watering and Seedling Care)

• Appropriate for volunteers aged between 18 and 55
• Appropriate for volunteers aged 55 and over
• Training or orientation required

We are looking for volunteers to dedicate 1-2 hours per week on a consistent day each week to help with watering on our Urban Farm site. This would include orientation with staff and then independent caring for seedlings and areas of our farm that require manual watering. If interested, tasks could be broadened to include some farm maintenance such as weeding or keeping seedling areas organized

The farm is located on the grounds of a care facility, and so a criminal record check is required as volunteers will be working in proximity to vulnerable persons.
