Volunteer Resources

Volunteering is not always straight forward. Here at Volunteer Vancouver we’re trying to make things easier by bringing together volunteer resources from across the Internet and making them accessible to you.

Our Blog

Volunteer Vancouver’s blog will feature regular blog postings that will highlight a variety of subjects, including (as examples):

  • how to better engage with volunteers;
  • benefits of volunteer work;
  • working with nonprofit organizations;
  • building career skills; and
  • volunteering abroad.

We will also seek out opportunities to engage with nonprofit organizations in Vancouver and ask them to do feature postings on their organization. This will give them an opportunity to highlight the great work they do, and to have a higher level of engagement with the community. If you or your organization have interest in posting to Volunteer Vancouver’s blog, then please contact us.

Volunteer News

We will highlight local volunteer news in the News section of Volunteer Vancouver. If you have a news article you would like highlighted, please contact us.

Volunteer Quotes

Looking for inspirational quotes about helping others? volunteering? Look no further! Volunteer Vancouver‘s quotes database is always growing.

You nourish your soul by fulfilling your destiny, by developing the potential that the soul represents. When you fulfill your soul’s destiny, you will feel “right.” Conversely, when you ignore your soul’s destiny, when you get caught up in your own self-interests and forget to care for others, you will not feel “right.” Instead, you will feel empty and unfulfilled. During these times, you are neglecting your soul–you are depriving it of nourishment. When I talk to people who feel this emptiness and lack of fulfillment, I recommend they find a source of balance in their lives. I suggest they find a way to “give back” to the world in order to feel a sense of completeness.
