TechinColour (TechinColour Event Volunteer)

Are you interested in tech? Meet other Black, Indigenous and people of colour in Vancouver tech scene?

TechinColour is looking for 6 volunteers for our one-day panel discussion event on April 25, 2019. Volunteer shifts will be from 5pm – 9pm. Food will be provided for the volunteers.

EVENT DETAILS: Beyond Diversity: Creating Inclusive Tech Workplaces
This event will feature different perspectives from our panelists on how to make tech workplaces more inclusive beyond just having a diverse team.

Volunteer positions:

Set-up/Take down (2): Setting up chairs, manage food area

Registration/Check-in (2): This person will check-in attendees from the Eventbrite app. Welcome and assist attendees with name tags. Manage donations jar.

Key holder/usher (2): We need someone to usher the attendees from the building lobby to the event venue floor. They will miss the first 45 mins of the event as they need to stay at the lobby to attend to latecomers.
