Opportunity Description:

Latincouver is  a non-profit organization that for the past 12 years has been connecting over 100,000 Latin Americans with Latin enthusiasts living in Western Canada. As of  today, we are the point of reference within the Latin American community in British Columbia.

Duties and Responsibilities

Assist the marketing department with copywriting and translation of the written content from English to French
Translate a variety of digital and printed articles, news, guidelines, documents or text, maintaining the same content, context and style of the original
Revise and correct the translated material
Summarize documents, material and report as needed
Proofread translated texts for grammar, spelling and punctuation accuracy
Work effectively in a team environment; receive support from and provide support to colleagues
Demonstrate a willingness and ability to complete additional and other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

A college diploma or currently studying language, communication, or related field.
Professional experience as a translator
Excellent written and communication skills
Strong proficiency in English and French
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), and Google Drive
Availability to work 3-5 days per week, 4 or 5 hours, for at least 3 months
