Hamber House Adolescent Day Treatment program

Hamber House is a day treatment program which provides services to youth, 13-18 years of age and who have serious mental health concerns and are unable to attend their neighbourhood school. Hamber House is an inter-ministerial program which provides a full range of mental health services, as well as educational programming. The program is a partnership between the Vancouver Board of Education and Vancouver Community Child and Youth Mental Health Services.

The Hamber House program provides services based on the individual needs of each student. Consequently, some students stay for a short time; others for longer. The average stay is one year. A primary goal of the program is to assist each student in attaining a more adaptive level of functioning which will enable them to return to their neighbourhood school, other community programs or employment.
