Our In-School Mentoring Program pairs you with an elementary school student who you share common interests with. You will spend one hour once per week together doing non-academic activities such as playing sports, games, creating art or simply just hanging out at the playground and are paired for the duration, or remainder, of the academic school year.

As an In-School Mentor, you are

    • Adults aged 18+, inclusive of male, female, trans, and gender-diverse individuals.
    • Reliable, consistent, dedicated, and respectful of others.
    • Available one hour per week during school hours, weekdays between 10:00am and 3:00pm.

In-School Mentees are

    • Students in grades 1 to 7, who are nominated by teachers, staff or themselves.
    • Children who could benefit from having an additional caring adult role model in their life.

Training

  • You will be supported throughout your match by one of our experienced case workers, also known as a Mentoring Coordinator.
  • No prior experience working with children is necessary. Free training is provided!
