Program Description:
Next Stop Canada (NSC) is a program that provides online settlement support, learning opportunities, and mentorship to pre-arrival clients who are destined for Canada. This online program helps individuals overseas prepare for immigration to Canada by providing them with the information, knowledge, and resources needed to quickly adapt and integrate into Canadian society.
GLOCAL Foundation of Canada is a non-partisan, non-profit organization striving to empower residents in Canada to integrate a solid, creative domestic engagement with a nuanced global understanding in politics, business, academics and philanthropy.
We aim to provide innovative programs and cross-sectoral resources to encourage residents in Canada to be civically aware and democratically engaged. UNYA's focus since its inception in 1988 has been to provide meaningful opportunities for Indigenous youth (Aboriginal, Metis, Inuit, First Nations, Status, Non-Status) in the urban setting. Our goal is to be a safe place for Indigenous youth to come and find out about programs and services at UNYA and in the broader community. UNYA strives to support Indigenous youth by providing a diverse continuum of advocacy, preventative and support services that respond to their immediate and long-term needs. Today, UNYA delivers 20+ programs, with 175+ volunteers, 100 staff, and more than 300 community partners.
The Women CyberSecurity Society (WCS2) is a registered nonprofit founded in the spring of 2018 in Vancouver, BC, Canada. Lisa Kearney, a long-term industry veteran, founded the organization after several conversations with female colleagues about a lack of support and the barriers facing women throughout the industry.
To address those needs, Lisa started by creating local meetup events that grew into an international organization within the first year. As word spread, the demand grew. The development of programs and services provided support to the community and enabled us to achieve the objectives of our mission to advance and retain marginalized groups for a more diverse and inclusive community within the cybersecurity industry.
From the onset, our focus is on the lifecycle of a career. We understand needs are different when starting your career, changing roles and responsibilities, obtaining certifications, training and advancing into leadership positions.

We are a crisis centre for women and girls escaping domestic violence, sexual assault and other forms of gender-based violence. Help us protect and empower women and girls. We are the only women's Centre in Surrey, BC. We are often the first and sometimes the only place they call for help. It is because of you that women and girls have a safe place to turn. 24 hours per day. 7 days per week. 365 days per year.
HOPE exists as a platform to inspire innovative solutions to broken systems. Whether providing short-term relief, or building long-term systems, we believe that the best answers are global in concept, local in execution, and limitless in their ability to create and inspire change. We work with young people to empower their local and global communities. We are connected to 52 non-profit partners, have HOPE branches in 12 high schools and 6 universities, and involve over 3000 youth in our network annually. We believe that youth can be doing much more as humanitarians, so we create spaces and systems that facilitate this.
411 Seniors Centre Society provides senior-led programs and services that mobilizes seniors’ diverse strengths, talents, interests and expertise to the benefit of fellow seniors and the community at large, and in collaboration with like-minded organizations.
