The Chill Foundation is a non-profit charity that inspires youth through board sports. We run a snowboarding, skateboarding and paddle-boarding program in the winter, summer and fall seasons, reaching 150+ local youth in our communities. Chill uses Positive Youth Development (PYD) techniques throughout our programming to empower youth working through adversity, and support them with opportunities to build resiliency through every aspect of their lives.

Western Canada Chinese Sports Association is a B.C. registered non-profit association initially formed by a group of local born Chinese and Chinese immigrants. The common thread that ties our board of directors is the importance and role of sports that play in their lives, from childhood to now. The mandate of WCCSA is to promote friendship and healthy lifestyle for all age group in Greater Vancouver through sports activities. WCCSA will constantly organize different kinds of sports activities & events to provide a fun and safe networking environment to our members and the public. We also hope to organize more national and international sports event in Greater Vancouver in the near future.

At Zajac Ranch for Children we work hard to ensure hundreds of children with long term medical conditions and disabilities can come to camp each summer. We share a passion for helping children and take pride in our work inspiring others within our community.

UBC Recreation Intramurals hosts iconic events nearly every week throughout the school year at varying levels of competition. Alongside these events, our organization runs ten intramural leagues throughout the academic year. UBC Recreation is committed to making these events and leagues an inclusive, accessible, and respectful experience for all of its patrons, volunteers, and staff.

The Vancouver International Marathon Society is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization. The Society relies on a dedicated group of over 4,000 invaluable support volunteers, with a single common thread – a love of wellness and the sport of long distance running.

The Vancouver International Marathon Society RUNVAN® is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization (Registration number S22985) maybe best known for organizing Canada’s largest Marathon race. RUNVAN® relies on a dedicated group of volunteer Board of Directors and nearly 4,000 volunteers to annually organize the First Half, BMO Vancouver Marathon, Granville Island Turkey Trot and Great Trek.

On the pitch, Whitecaps FC is steeped in North American history, dating back to 1974. After finally making the jump to MLS in 2011, our club has found success year over year. Breaking club point records, continuing the tradition of lifting the Cascadia Cup, winning our first-ever Canadian Championship, and finally bringing the MLS Cup playoffs to BC Place.

The Whitecaps FC mission is <em>To Unite and Inspire Our Communities</em>.

West Coast Beach Volleyball Society (WeCoBeVo) was born from a shared desire across the beach volleyball community to create a new path for youth in Western Canada to play and train, and have an equal chance to dream about representing Canada on the international
stage. At present, the only option is for athletes (of all ages) to move to Toronto to do so. The roots of our goals has led WeCoBeVo to becoming a community connector, a change instigator, and a fundraising entity that provides unique events that bring together all
facets of the volleyball community.

Funds raised are currently going towards: (1) helping support developing athletes in Western Canada to compete nationally and internationally; (2) enhancing Western Canada’s reputation as a competitive volleyball market that is developing future leaders in the sport; (3) developing a community spirit such that young athletes know they are supported through encouragement, development and financial opportunities as possible; (4) donations to
Jumpstart Charities, whose sole focus is to remove financial barriers for kids to participate in and learn from sport.

Get involved in the governance of your local Community Centre!

The West Point Grey Community Centre Association is recruiting new members to join our productive and collegial Board of Directors. The Board represents the people in our community and steers the strategic direction of programming and operations at West Point Grey Community Centre with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

Board members believe in the importance of neighbourhood-based community centres and have a desire to work in a team to develop and foster community engagement throughout the West Point Grey community.

Directors are asked to attend one Board meeting per month - except for August - and at least one Committee meeting per month. Committees include Governance, Finance, Marketing, Programming/ Operations and Facilities.

The West Point Grey CCA Board welcomes community members from diverse backgrounds and interest areas. We are particularly eager to have more representation on our Board from youth (at least 18 years of age) and individuals with a background in arts, culture and/or recreation.
