Nature Vancouver

Founded in 1918, Nature Vancouver (formally known as Vancouver Natural History Society), offers a variety of activities with a focus on nature education, and enjoyment and conservation of natural environment. We have been a registered charity since 1974.

We organize <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/evening-programs/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">EVENING PROGRAMS</a></strong><span class="apple-converted-space"> (</span>from September to April),<span class="apple-converted-space"> <strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/field-trips/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">FIELD TRIPS</a></strong></span> (throughout the year), <span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>an annual<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/summer-camps/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">SUMMER CAMP</a></strong> and occasional  workshops, and more.

The  <strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/birding/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BIRDING</a>, <a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/botany/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">BOTANY</a>,</strong><span class="apple-converted-space"><b> </b></span><strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/geology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">GEOLOGY,</a> </strong><strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/marine-biology/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">MARINE BIOLOGY</a>, </strong>and<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/photography/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">PHOTOGRAPHY</a></strong> Sections provide a greater focus in specific areas of nature.

Nature Vancouver is also actively involved in <strong><a href="http://www.naturevancouver.ca/conservation/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">CONSERVATION</a></strong> projects. Currently the projects include <a href="http://naturevancouver.ca/conservation/false-creek-oyster-survey/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>FALSE CREEK OYSTER SURVEYS</strong></a> and <a href="http://naturevancouver.ca/category/conservation/new-brighton-park-restoration/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>NEW BRIGHTON PARK RESTORATION</strong></a>.

Members of Nature Vancouver contribute to <a href="https://naturevancouver.ca/what-is-citizen-science/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>CITIZEN SCIENCE</strong></a> through e-Bird and iNaturalist.

Nature Vancouver has been a strong supporter of <strong>Young Naturalists’ Club of BC</strong> now known as<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span><a href="https://www.naturekidsbc.ca/about-us/" target="_blank" rel="noopener"><strong>NatureKIDS BC</strong></a>.<span class="apple-converted-space"> </span>
