Get involved in the governance of your local Community Centre!

The West Point Grey Community Centre Association is recruiting new members to join our productive and collegial Board of Directors. The Board represents the people in our community and steers the strategic direction of programming and operations at West Point Grey Community Centre with the Vancouver Board of Parks and Recreation.

Board members believe in the importance of neighbourhood-based community centres and have a desire to work in a team to develop and foster community engagement throughout the West Point Grey community.

Directors are asked to attend one Board meeting per month – except for August – and at least one Committee meeting per month. Committees include Governance, Finance, Marketing, Programming/ Operations and Facilities.

>>Note: Association members (anyone who signs up for a program at West Point Grey CC or pays the Association membership fee) can nominate themselves.

Applications are due by 5pm on Wednesday, Jan 30, 2019. The Board of Directors will be elected at the Association’s Annual General Meeting on Wednesday, Feb 6, 2019 at 7pm at West Point Grey CC (4397 West 2nd Ave, Vancouver, near Jericho Beach).

The West Point Grey CCA Board welcomes community members from diverse backgrounds and interest areas. We are particularly eager to have more representation on our Board from youth (at least 18 years of age) and individuals with a background in arts, culture and/or recreation.
