The New Art Foundation of Vancouver was established in the summer of 2022 by a group of passionate individuals with multidisciplinary expertise committed to advancing art innovation. Our founding team recognized Vancouver's potential as a hub for art innovation, but also saw gaps in the industry when it came to providing resources for creative individuals and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration.

We are a registered British Columbian non-profit organization under the BC Societies Act and our team comprises experts and academics from Greater Vancouver, specializing in numerous disciplines such as fine art, art history, interior and graphic design, neuroscience, technology, and community education.

Inspired by our personal experiences in art, we wanted to create a public outlet to share those experiences with others. The New Art Foundation brings together the best minds in the fields to create new ways for art to be experienced by everyone and to increase the artistic potential of all Vancouver creatives.

Our mission is to be a catalyst for new ideas that will shape the future of multidisciplinary collaboration in the realms of art, design, technology and any external discipline. The Foundation provides an environment where artists can experiment with new mediums, technologies, and materials and truly flourish in Vancouver's thriving creative community.

We are looking for mentors/tutors to volunteer at our after school tutoring program called "Say Yes!" It is a holistic and Christian program that includes meal, study, recreation, and story or craft. We work in the inner-city with elementary-aged students. If you are interested in cross-cultural experiences - many of our children are urban First Nations - education, and mentoring young people then send us an e-mail! This non-profit after school program runs Monday-Thursday and works best with a high volunteer to student ratio so the kids can get the support they need in the tutoring and other aspects of the program. Neworld Theatre creates, produces, and tours new plays and performance events. We tell stories that are as complicated and contradictory as the enormously small country we live in. Historically, our work is rooted in an experience of ethnic and cultural diversity. While diversity remains a core value, our programming now asks a broader range of questions about responsibility, identity, and difference.

We are a Japanese Cultural Centre located in Burnaby. Our mandate is to promote a better understanding and appreciation by all Canadians of Japanese Canadian culture and heritage; and an awareness by all Canadians of the contribution of Japanese Canadians to Canadian society, through public programs, exhibits, services, publications, public use of the facilities and special events.

Our mission is to honour, preserve, and share Japanese Canadian history and culture for a better Canada.

Nikkei National Museum & Cultural Centre is a multi-use facility in Burnaby, BC. Nikkei Centre’s mandate is to promote a better understanding and appreciation by all Canadians of Japanese Canadian culture and heritage; and an awareness by all Canadians of the contribution of Japanese Canadians to Canadian society, through public programs, exhibits, services, publications, public use of the facilities and special events.

We support people with intellectual disabilities by providing the care they need to feel safe and enjoy physical and emotional wellbeing throughout their lives. We seek to discover and honour their interests, talents, skills and aspirations so they can thrive and be included as genuine members of their local community and to live the life they choose.

Our vision is to create a community without barriers for survivors of stroke.

At the NSSRC, we envision a future without barriers for survivors of stroke. Since 1974, our team has worked on the organization’s mission to maximize the quality of life for people impacted by stroke through accessible programming, peer support and healthcare partnerships. We are the only community-based program that supports stroke recovery for North & West Vancouver and Sea-to-Sky corridor residents, operating 4 days of therapy and support programming per week.

At the NSSRC, we seek to work with individuals of diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives. We strongly believe that passion and talent makes no distinctions based on gender, ethnic or national origin, sexual identity and orientation, age, religion or disability, but enriches itself through these differences.

North Shore Volunteers for Seniors is a non-profit Society, founded in 1961, dedicated to promoting independence and well-being of seniors. We offer diverse and accessible programs to seniors at our Centre located in West Vancouver. We match qualified volunteers with seniors living independently in their homes or care facilities.

North Van Arts, founded in 1969 as The North Vancouver Community Arts Council, is a grassroots, social-profit, charitable cultural organization dedicated to maximizing the intrinsic value of the arts in all media.

Our mandate is to enable emerging and professional artists in all disciplines, to bridge cultures, and to build strong and healthy communities through the arts.

Located in CityScape Community Art Space, the organization consists of a volunteer Board of Directors, an Executive Director and support staff, and over 100 dedicated volunteers. Our membership is over 500 strong and includes individuals, students, seniors, families, cultural groups and businesses.

The North Vancouver Museum & Archives is a community-focused organization, and is operated under the auspices of the City and District of North Vancouver, as a municipal agency. It exists to engage, strengthen and inspire our community and its visitors. Its vision is to be recognized and respected as a dynamic and relevant organization that provides access to and gives authentic voice to the stories of North Vancouver’s people and places by creating a deeply engaging cultural heritage organization that connects in transformative ways with core audiences.

The North Vancouver Visitor Centre provides plenty of information on local activities and events, attractions, local shops, sightseeing tours and accommodations so you can make the most of your visit to Vancouver's North Shore Where Nature Lives. We are located inside the Lonsdale Quay Market (ground floor, north end), just a few steps away from the SeaBus terminal. We offer free information, reservations and accommodations services.
