Welcome to Pacific Canada Heritage Centre – Museum of Migration (PCHC-MoM)

PCHC-MoM is a dynamic non-profit society dedicated to the exploration and celebration of trans-Pacific immigration and intercultural relations. Since our inception in 2011 and our registration as a charity in 2023, our mission has been to establish a museum that serves as a hub for public exhibitions, educational programs, workshops, and events.

As a museum “without walls,” we are committed to offering both in-person and virtual experiences across various community and online platforms. Our aim is to curate and share the rich tapestry of migration histories to foster a sense of belonging and understanding in Pacific Canada, all while recognizing and respecting our role as guests on unceded Indigenous lands.

Our Core Values:

- Belonging: Creating spaces where everyone feels valued and connected.
- Collaboration: Working together to enrich our community and programs.
- Education: Providing learning opportunities to broaden perspectives.
- Empowerment: Enabling individuals and communities to voice their stories.
- Inclusivity: Embracing diverse experiences and backgrounds.
- Responsibility: Honoring our commitments and ethical practices.

Pacific Community Resources Society (PCRS) is a long-standing, award-winning not-for-profit that serves the most vulnerable people in the Province of B.C. We believe that helping the most marginalized individuals and families will raise the health and well-being of the communities we serve. Our vision is to see everyone thriving in strong, healthy communities, and our mission is to inspire healthy and inclusive communities through leadership and collaboration. We value advocacy, diversity and inclusion, empowerment, service excellence, stewardship, and well-being. We take care of our people who take care of the people we serve.

The Pathways to Education program takes a holistic approach to address the challenges students face. There are four components to the Pathways to Education program, which are tutoring, mentoring, immediate financial supports, and one-on-one support. We look to support each student broadly through the 4 supports and at the same time, shift the way we work with each student based on their individual needs. We support students with challenges they face individually, at school, and in the community by working together with the families, the schools, and other community-based organizations.

Papergirl YVR is an inclusive, non-commercial art project that brings people together in the celebration of art and community in an unconventional way: through the spirit of altruism.

In this annual project (entering its 6th year!), artists of all ages and abilities are invited to donate their work to a non-juried exhibition. Afterward, the artwork is rolled into bundles and distributed by a team of cyclists (in the style of the American paperboy) to anyone they meet along specific bike routes in the Lower Mainland.
