The Terry Fox Foundation is responsible for supporting close to $20 million in discovery based research each year in Canada - all monies raised outside Canada must be distributed to (a) an institute approved by the Foundation and its advisors or (b) remitted to Canada. The Terry Fox Research Institute (TFRI) is a recipient of TFF funding for translational research. TFRI is an exciting new initiative whose goal is to translate rapidly today's best science into better cancer treatment and diagnosis for all Canadians. The Institute will bring scientists and clinicians together across the country into a functionally integrated, geographically dispersed Institute with nodes in several provinces. The Foundation recognizes the duality of its mandate. Not only does it raise money for research, but it also continues to share the story of Terry Fox. The Terry Fox Foundation strives to maintain the heroic effort and integrity that Terry embodied.

The Bicycle Valet is a social enterprise run by the non-profit charitable organization, Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST). Our goal is to eliminate barriers to sustainable transportation, in this case by providing a safe place for people to keep their bicycles (and bicycle accessories). This summer we're partnering with the Vancouver Police Department and Project 529 at Granville Island to try out a new project, attacking bike theft from as many different angles as possible. We'll have our valet open 7 days/week, be educating the public on best locking practices, registering bikes with Project 529, collecting data on current locking practices, as well as conducting a survey looking at transportation choices made by all people traveling to Granville Island.

Since 2017, we have provided coding and STEM workshops to neurodiverse children (youth who identify with being on the Autism Spectrum or having ADD/ADHD, GAD, or any other exceptionality) and underrepresented youth across Canada. Our mission is to cultivate inclusive and supportive environments for children to learn, explore and empower themselves in.
