The Fire Dragon Festival will be held in Vancouver’s Chinatown on Saturday, September 17th. The event will bring the Chinatown community together past and present through celebration, cultural activities and performances, culinary exploration, and the appreciation of intangible heritage. Our vision is to establish a community tradition through partnership and collaboration that will strengthen awareness and education about Chinatown’s cultural legacy for years to come.

This festival is part of a unique experience that we know that you will enjoy. Volunteer tasks include: traditional arts and crafts coordination, event set up, hospitality and traffic control. We strongly encourage youth 16+ to apply to this role. We strive to create an intergenerational learning environment where we all support one another.

Volunteers will receive a festival t-shirt. Meals and snacks will be provided during your shift. Volunteer letters can be provided for high school students keeping track of their hours. Requests must be sent by email before Saturday, Oct. 1.
