Under the direction of the Public Engagement team, each Regional Coordinator is responsible for supporting and engaging Results Canada’s volunteers and supporting expansion efforts in their respective region of West, Central, or Eastern Canada.
We are looking for a Regional Coordinator for the Western Canada region! Send your CV and cover letter to action@resultscanada.ca. Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis until the position is filled. Applicants must be over 18 years old and living in Canada in one of the following time zones: Central Time, Mountain Time, or Pacific Time.
Location: Remote
Duration: 12 month engagement
Hours: 5-10 hours per week, at times will be demanding, at other times less so.
N.B. This is a voluntary position for which Results Canada does not provide any compensation.
responsibilities
- Facilitate advocacy and volunteer activities by supporting the growth and sustainability of the volunteer network in their region
- Lead check-in meetings with provincial leaders and group leaders
- Interview potential group leaders and facilitate leadership transitions within groups as needed
- Identify community outreach opportunities and facilitate volunteer recruitment and awareness building
- Be the point of contact for routine questions from Provincial Leaders and Group Leaders
- Collaborate with the Public Engagement team, with your fellow Regional Coordinators, and with volunteers in your region
- Lead on special projects as directed by the Public Engagement team
- Collaborate with local liked-minded organizations either to raise funds or promote awareness
- Lead by example by taking actions (political engagement, media letter-writing, etc.), alongside volunteers and in support of our campaigns.
requirements
- Must be of legal age in your province of residence
- West and Central Coordinator: strong English communication skills; Eastern Coordinator: strong English and French communication skills
- Self-motivated with an ability to prioritize and take initiative
- Demonstrated ability to perform independently with a remote team of colleagues and volunteers
- Ability to influence and willingness to lead by example
- Tech savvy and comfortable in a digital world
- Volunteer community experience in Canada
- Good interpersonal and oral presentation skills – outgoing and problem-solver
- Willingness and ability to maintain a flexible schedule, with evening activities and occasional weekend responsibilities
- Available and able to respond in timely manner (within 1-2 days)
- Respect for diversity and commitment to creating an environment that values inclusiveness and respect
- A sense of humour and generosity of spirit is essential

- Experience with online platforms like Zoom, Slack, Google Suite, Google Groups, Canva, social media (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Experience in the not-for-profit sector and/or a volunteer organization and/or advocacy
- Experience working or volunteering remotely
