HOPE International Developmental Agency is a Vancouver-based non-governmental organization that extend a helping hand to improve the supply of basic human necessities for the neediest of the developing world through self-help activities, and to challenge, educate, and involve North Americans regarding development issues. RunForH2O is the premier fundraising event hosted every summer, a campaign initiative focused on building awareness and compassion for providing sustainable water systems in rural areas of Guatemala. We are looking for a compassionate, self-motivated and results-oriented volunteer sponsorship coordinator who wants to be part of something bigger than themselves. Working along side with a sponsorship director, you will contribute in creating/implementing/refining fundraising plans and cultivate community partnerships resulting in sponsorships and in-kind donations. We are looking for volunteers who are/have: Creative and innovative Oral and written communication skills Ability to multi-task Ability to operate within a team and in isolation Able to visit businesses around lower mainland in person for sponsorship requests Preference: – Experience in marketing and project planning Time commitment for this position is from Dec2016/Jan2017 to Jun 2017.
