Streetohome strives to broker the integration of evidence-based and promising practices that address gaps in the homelessness services system to better meet the employment & volunteering; education, skills & training; health & wellness; housing; legal & advocacy; and community & belonging needs of vulnerable individuals. 

About the Want2 app 

Building on the success of the original Life Intentions Action Planner (LIAP) paper tool, Streetohome developed a mobile app and web version – named Want2 – to empower vulnerable individuals to plan and realize a better future for themselves, one step at a time (e.g., I want to get help with my substance use, I want to get a job, I want to connect with others, etc.). 

With a personal goal setting tool, and a database of over 400 free services, this app help individuals prioritize goals, find best-fit resources, and make plans that support them in moving along their preferred life path. 

Streetohome is looking for volunteers who want to help change lives and build better futures by helping to promote the recently launched Want2 app. Volunteers will help coordinate small events at various non-profit organizations to promote the app and assist attendees (service providers and clients) with using it.

The Role 

Volunteers will spend 3-5 hours per week to help coordinate and oversee small marketing events at service provider locations to promote the Want2 app, assist with the development of promotional and marketing materials, and communicate with related parties for planning and execution of events. Volunteers do not need any event planning or marketing experience. 

Volunteers will need to be able to multi-task and have excellent communication & people skills. Training and coaching will be provided and reimbursements for public transportation are available.
