Compassion Globally is a Canadian registered charitable society that is working to reduce abuse and sexual violence inflicted upon women and girls. We are addressing the issue through awareness and prevention campaigns.

LOCO’s researches and promotes the benefits of independent business - how they circulate dollars many times, create good jobs, and support other local suppliers. We do this because we believe resilient communities must be underpinned by strong economies and build shared economic prosperity. LOCO coordinates a Buy Local campaign in the province, work with communities to promote local economic development, research trends and recommends policy changes. We engage businesses, consumers and organizations to raise awareness of the economic and community benefits of independent businesses. We survey and engage businesses to measure and promote their community economic impact. We produce research that demonstrates the beneficial practices and impacts of independent businesses, engage businesses to measure, further and promote their impacts, and educate consumers and purchasers to influence them to buy local products and services whenever possible. We also research the challenges faced by independent businesses, advocate for reducing these barriers, and work to build bridges between businesses and policymakers.

Parent Support Services of BC is a non-profit organization, with a mission to protect the safety and well-being of children and promote the health of all families by partnering with those in a parenting role and their communities to build support, advocacy, education, research, and resources. PSS offers the following programs and services: - Parenting Support Circles Program: self-help and peer support Circles to parents, grandparents, and/or other caregivers, in different communities throughout BC. Our Circles provide a safe space for parents, grandparents, and/or other caregivers, to not only get together to discuss their strengths, challenges or concerns they may have faced throughout the week or throughout their time in a parenting role, but to also build a supportive network, receive emotional support, and learn new skills. Moreover, in some of our communities, we have Circles that are: language specific – Spanish, Korean, Cantonese, Mandarin, and Filipino; for kinship care providers and grandparents who are raising their grandchildren or another relatives 24/7; for parents with children on the autism spectrum; for fathers and mothers in the prison system; and for parents of Trans or gender creative children. Each Circle is facilitated by two trained volunteers, who practice within a self-help and peer support model. Our model of practice provides Circle members with a supportive network; promotes self-advocacy; empowers and boosts self-esteem; and helps create a healthier living environment for all families. All our Circles are free, confidential and anonymous. - Grandparents Raising Grandchildren Support Line: operated by two part-time advocates, trained in advocacy, social work, family law, and government services related to kinship caregiving. Individuals can call in and seek information on complex services such as the Ministry of Children and Family Development, or they can call in if they have questions surrounding benefits, resources, and any other questions surrounding kinship caregiving. Our GRG support line operates on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10 am to 2 pm – 1-855-474-9777 – GRGline@parentsupportbc.ca - Community Workshops: For parents, grandparents and/or caregivers. These workshops vary in topics and location.

The Vancouver Urban Farming Society (VUFS) works to strengthen urban farming through education, networking, advocacy and business support towards our mission of growing urban farming in Vancouver and beyond. We do so through programming and events, maintaining a strong network, working with policymakers, as well as public education and engagement. We are a six-year-old non-profit society that was largely founded and continues to be governed by urban farmers. Vancouver’s local food movement is dynamic and exciting as various urban farming organizations develop different approaches to growing food in the city. Kids Help Phone is Canada's only national 24-hour, bilingual and anonymous phone counselling, web counselling and referral service for children and youth.

KidSafe is a Vancouver non-profit organization that provides a safe haven for vulnerable children during the times schools are out of session. We do this by running educational activities, assisting in social- emotional development and support, providing nutritious meals daily and organizing field trips for the children that may be otherwise be unattainable for many vulnerable families. All of our children are referred to us by their teachers as one of the most economically and emotionally vulnerable students in their school, students who are the most t risk when school is closed. All the programs and activities are offered free of charge

Canada Society to Access Justice and Pro Bono Law of BC in 2010. Access Pro Bono is a non-profit organization that provides efficient and seamless pro bono legal services to the ever-increasing and otherwise unmet legal needs of BC’s people and non-profit organizations of limited means.   VISION Access Pro Bono’s vision is of a justice system in which having limited means is not a barrier to obtaining quality legal services.   MISSION Access Pro Bono’s mission is to promote access to justice in BC by providing and fostering quality pro bono legal services for people and non-profit organizations of limited means.

Central City supports charities and non-profit groups seeking to raise funds or increase awareness by providing free interior and exterior space at the centre. Throughout the year, Central City also hosts many events in-centre to raise funds for local charities in the Surrey area. Langara students have come together to solve problems that they've faced on campus. We are a group of music enthusiasts and music lovers who have come together to help raise awareness of the healing powers of music. Music Heals Charitable Foundation supports a wide range of music therapy services to communities in BC and across Canada. We increase access to music therapy for patients in children's hospitals, senior's centres, palliative care, AIDS & HIV programs, at-risk youth, habilitation, and bereavement support. Music Heals is a not-for-profit society incorporated in British Columbia and is registered with Canada Revenue Agency as a charitable foundation.
