Albahaca Footwear is a not-for-profit footwear company founded in Vancouver in December 2016. All proceeds from sales, after costs, are given to a rotation of Guatemalan charities. Our boots are handmade, quality leather ankle boots - made with love by our small team of craftsmen in Pastores, Guatemala.

Goals:

<li>Provide ethical, handmade, durable boots to Canadians</li>

Vancouver is a community driven metropolis and the artists, innovators, movers and especially the shakers, power it’s beating heart. BIL events are powered the same way, being entirely participant driven and volunteer run.

BIL is a global community of people who have a passion for sharing ideas. Through self-organizing events, communities are brought together for intense collaborative learning.

Plans for BIL Vancouver 2017 Unconference are now under way! Opportunities for collaboration abound as organizers seek to make this years event better than ever.

This vision gives us a strong purpose, or mission, which is summed up clearly in our Statement of Purpose: CISV educates and inspires action for a more just and peaceful world.

CISV’s peace education ‘learning by doing’ programs begin with our Village program for 11-year-olds. Youth 10 years and older participate in seven international camp-based, family exchange and local community programs.

Programme participants develop the skills they need to become informed, responsible and active global citizens that can make a difference in their communities and the world.
