The Butterfly Run is a registered non-profit organization that provides integrated support, resources, and community for all people who have experienced unimaginable loss during the journey to parenthood. We hope to empower families to share their stories and we provide this run as a healing space for you in your journey. As alone you might feel right now, we want you to know that we walk beside you. It is estimated that 1 in 4 women will experience miscarriage or pregnancy loss (also known as perinatal loss) and that 1 in 6 Canadians experience infertility. MISSION: The Butterfly Run Canada exists to offer support, compassion and community to honour the babies gone too soon and hold hope for the children to come. Role Overview: As the Human Resources Manager volunteer, you will play a key role in ensuring that the Society operates smoothly and effectively by supporting our team with HR-related tasks. Each spring, we join together to build a more hopeful future for all those affected by workplace tragedies. On any given working day, three families will learn a loved one won't return home from work. Thousands more will experience a workplace injury or illness that will change their lives forever. Their families, friends, and co-workers will rally together to be there for one another. The Association for Workplace Tragedy Family Support, known as Threads of Life, supports the healing journey of families who have suffered from a workplace fatality, traumatic life-altering injury, or occupational disease. Every year, Threads of Life hosts Steps for Life. This 5-km family walk aims to educate the community. It highlights the ripple effects of workplace tragedies. And, it shows how we can prevent such incidents.

The United Scottish Cultural Society is a registered BC non-profit organization with representation from various Scottish organizations located in the Metro Vancouver area. ASK Friendship Society is a Vancouver-based non-profit organization with over 45 years of experience supporting seniors through inclusive, community-driven programs. One of the first Adult Day Programs (ADPs) in the city, ASK was founded by volunteers responding to a growing social need and has continued to evolve to meet the changing realities of aging. ASK provides adult day programming, social connection, meals, and supportive services that promote independence, dignity, and well-being for seniors—particularly those experiencing isolation, cognitive change, or complex health needs. Programs are designed to be culturally responsive, accessible, and rooted in strong relationships with participants, caregivers, volunteers, and community partners. With a long-standing commitment to collaboration and innovation, ASK plays an important role in Vancouver’s continuum of care, supporting seniors to remain active, engaged, and connected to their communities.

Since 2006, BEST’s (Better Environmentally Sound Transportation) Bike Valet has been providing professional, secure, coat-check style bicycle parking in and around Metro Vancouver. The Bicycle Valet is one of Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST) initiatives. It’s simple! Ride your bike to the Valet at one of our events, and we’ll take care of the rest. Just like a coat-check, we’ll tag your bike and provide you with a claim stub. Enjoy the event, and bring back the claim stub when you want your bike returned. You can even leave your helmet or panniers on your bike (securely attached of course). We also offer lots of sustainable transportation resources in Metro Vancouver, including City of Vancouver pocket maps, Regional Cycling Maps, Translink transit maps, and other municipalities’ cycling maps. Our friendly Valet team members are also always happy to chat, provided we’re not too busy parking bicycles!
