The Nature Trust of British Columbia is dedicated to conserving BC’s biological diversity through securement and management of ecologically significant lands. TNTBC took on the daunting task of protecting the natural riches of the province by building a treasury of wild natural areas to conserve iconic and important species at risk. TNTBC is now a leading non-profit land conservation organization. Since 1971 we have acquired more than 500 conservation properties in British Columbia.
Founded in 1918, Nature Vancouver (formally known as Vancouver Natural History Society), offers a variety of activities with a focus on nature education, and enjoyment and conservation of natural environment. We have been a registered charity since 1974. We organize  EVENING PROGRAMS (from September to April), FIELD TRIPS (throughout the year),  an annual SUMMER CAMP and occasional  workshops, and more. The  BIRDING, BOTANY, GEOLOGY, MARINE BIOLOGY, and PHOTOGRAPHY Sections provide a greater focus in specific areas of nature. Nature Vancouver is also actively involved in CONSERVATION projects. Currently the projects include FALSE CREEK OYSTER SURVEYS and NEW BRIGHTON PARK RESTORATION. Members of Nature Vancouver contribute to CITIZEN SCIENCE through e-Bird and iNaturalist. Nature Vancouver has been a strong supporter of Young Naturalists’ Club of BC now known as NatureKIDS BC.  Whether you are just discovering the natural beauty of Vancouver and BC or are an experienced naturalist, we know you will enjoy the atmosphere and camaraderie of Nature Vancouver.
We are an emerging collective of diverse trainers, facilitators, and practitioners committed to supporting collaboration and inclusion in organizations and communities working for racial and climate justice. We do this by building skills, practices and systems that subvert structures and habits of dominance, right/wrong thinking, shaming and blaming, and reward and punishment. We offer training, coaching and consulting services that allow organizations to attend to impact and harm as it arises, building trust and connection. When there is a foundation of trust and connection, challenges and conflicts become sources of inspiration, creativity, learning and growth.

The New Art Foundation of Vancouver was established in the summer of 2022 by a group of passionate individuals with multidisciplinary expertise committed to advancing art innovation. Our founding team recognized Vancouver's potential as a hub for art innovation, but also saw gaps in the industry when it came to providing resources for creative individuals and fostering multidisciplinary collaboration. We are a registered British Columbian non-profit organization under the BC Societies Act and our team comprises experts and academics from Greater Vancouver, specializing in numerous disciplines such as fine art, art history, interior and graphic design, neuroscience, technology, and community education. Inspired by our personal experiences in art, we wanted to create a public outlet to share those experiences with others. The New Art Foundation brings together the best minds in the fields to create new ways for art to be experienced by everyone and to increase the artistic potential of all Vancouver creatives. Our mission is to be a catalyst for new ideas that will shape the future of multidisciplinary collaboration in the realms of art, design, technology and any external discipline. The Foundation provides an environment where artists can experiment with new mediums, technologies, and materials and truly flourish in Vancouver's thriving creative community.
We are looking for mentors/tutors to volunteer at our after school tutoring program called "Say Yes!" It is a holistic and Christian program that includes meal, study, recreation, and story or craft. We work in the inner-city with elementary-aged students. If you are interested in cross-cultural experiences - many of our children are urban First Nations - education, and mentoring young people then send us an e-mail! This non-profit after school program runs Monday-Thursday and works best with a high volunteer to student ratio so the kids can get the support they need in the tutoring and other aspects of the program. Please call or send an e-mail for more information.
Neworld Theatre creates, produces, and tours new plays and performance events. We tell stories that are as complicated and contradictory as the enormously small country we live in. Historically, our work is rooted in an experience of ethnic and cultural diversity. While diversity remains a core value, our programming now asks a broader range of questions about responsibility, identity, and difference.

Our vision is to create a community without barriers for survivors of stroke. At the NSSRC, we envision a future without barriers for survivors of stroke. Since 1974, our team has worked on the organization’s mission to maximize the quality of life for people impacted by stroke through accessible programming, peer support and healthcare partnerships. We are the only community-based program that supports stroke recovery for North & West Vancouver and Sea-to-Sky corridor residents, operating 4 days of therapy and support programming per week. At the NSSRC, we seek to work with individuals of diverse characteristics, backgrounds and perspectives. We strongly believe that passion and talent makes no distinctions based on gender, ethnic or national origin, sexual identity and orientation, age, religion or disability, but enriches itself through these differences.
