The Bicycle Valet is a social enterprise run by the non-profit charitable organization, Better Environmentally Sound Transportation (BEST). Our goal is to eliminate barriers to sustainable transportation, in this case by providing a safe place for people to keep their bicycles (and bicycle accessories). This summer we're partnering with the Vancouver Police Department and Project 529 at Granville Island to try out a new project, attacking bike theft from as many different angles as possible. We'll have our valet open 7 days/week, be educating the public on best locking practices, registering bikes with Project 529, collecting data on current locking practices, as well as conducting a survey looking at transportation choices made by all people traveling to Granville Island.

The C.O.D.E. Initiative is an organization dedicated to increasing diversity in both the education and tech industries. Since 2017, we have provided coding and STEM workshops to neurodiverse children (youth who identify with being on the Autism Spectrum or having ADD/ADHD, GAD, or any other exceptionality) and underrepresented youth across Canada. Our mission is to cultivate inclusive and supportive environments for children to learn, explore and empower themselves in.
The C.O.D.E. Initiative is a not-for-profit organization founded to Create Opportunities and Define Education. Our mission is to accentuate the abilities of youth on the autism spectrum. By providing a 1:1 teacher-to-student ratio, we hope to introduce them to the basics of computer programming through a learning experience tailored to their needs.
